I shake my head.

"I am of two forms, no matter what I want, I can't," then I turned and walked away. When James saw me, he smiled, but I couldn't return it, I was so tired, I am out of energy. I looked at my hand, my skin looked old crumpled, like paper. I walked past James to my pile of leaves that I have been sleeping on. I heard talking, but I was too out of it. One phrase I caught though was from James.

"Sir, if you don't mind, I would like to feed Daisy for she is a vampire like I, and when that happens, we like to have privacy," he explained as subtle as he could. Though the thought of blood made me hungry and sick at the same time.

"Why do you need privacy?" Father asked.

"Well Sir, the act of bloodletting is completely pleasurable to both sides, and since we are married we tend to get carried away," Father grunted, I mean who can blame him.

"That I understand. If you wish and she is feeling better you guys can come to the clans and stay for a while," he offered.

"Sir thank you and we will think about it," then they left. Then I felt someone pick me up and scoot underneath me. I felt something against my mouth, I pushed it away. "Baby, you need to drink," I shook my head, but my teeth had other ideas. They punctured whatever was against my mouth, I moaned and so did he. I felt him harden between my thighs, he started to rub me with it. I let go of him, and rolled away, I still looked like paper, and he looked at me like I was crazy. I promised myself I wouldn't get distracted by him, I will not fail my people, nor my family. I got dressed and packed up, then went to wake Bri.

"Time to go. We have been here too long," she was going to say something, but I turned away. I put the fire out and started to walk, I didn't look at James.

"Danielle, what is wrong," Bri asked. So she notices the skin then, well I don't care, I have a job to do. I kept walking and I didn't look to see if they was following, or coming. That is up to them, then I heard them arguing. It doesn't matter, that was when I heard them coming after me. I didn't stop, I didn't look, and I didn't care. I have a duty to keep to, I have promises to fulfill and favors to call in. I am going to kill him, and no one is going to stop me, not even James. If Harold takes my last breath, I will haunt him till he takes his. That was when James stepped in front of me and grabbed my shoulders forcing me to stop.

"James, what the hell are you doing? Let me go you bastard," I yelled as I fought to free myself.

"No," he said firmly.

"Why not?" I still fought though it was pointless.

"For one you are exhausted, for two you are weak from lack of blood, for three you are distancing yourself from me, and lastly you need to drop the duty bullshit!" I gave up. I don't want to fight him, but I couldn't keep this up, I need him more than I will ever be able to tell him. For Harold will want to hurt James to get to me. but Harold is far away, I shouldn't worry about him right now. I don't want anyone else hurt; poor poor Amanda. He felt my arms relax and he pulled me in for a hug. I don't want to regret him, or anything that hast to do with him. That is a little late though, I killed his parents, I killed my aunt, when I considered her to be my mother for the longest time. Now I figured out that my mother was a Dragonshifter, my father is still alive, and I have a twin sister. I think it is time to give up on the fighting.
