The Soldier
For every snowflake without a name,
a soldier died but not in vain.
He forgot for what he thought was right,
so you and I can sleep at night.
Many soldiers lost to war,
yet still they die with courage and more
He's there for me, he's there for you
he's a soldier of the red, white, and blue.~~~~~~,, Author's Note ,,~~~~~~
I actually wrote this on Veterans Day.
Also just a clarification I'm not saying that soldiers aren't doing the right thing. I'm just saying that they believed in what they were doing. Also something to take into consideration, almost all soldiers of any nation and any time believe in what they are or were fighting for and I honor that, so while this poem may talk about American soldiers specifically, the same goes for all soldiers everywhere.

PoetryJust a bunch of poems I've written. I don't know any grammar rules for poetry, so I'm certain that there's going to be issues with the grammar. I would really appreciate it if you could point out any grammar issues and try to explain why it's wrong...
