"We've been on this road forever!"
I couldn't stop complaining. This road seemed to go on for miles. There were small little shops at the beginning but they were long out of sight.
"How much longer?"
"It's going to take a while."
My friend, who always seemed to smile, seemed a bit tired as well. I reluctantly kept walking.
"HOW MUCH LONGER!!?!"
The boy stopped. He looked at the both of us with irritated looks.
"If you didn't want to walk then you should've stayed where you were. Unless you have a better idea of transportation then you shouldn't complain."
I didn't have a better idea. So I continued walking.

It then started raining. The boy seemed to walk slower. My friend had made an umbrella appear out of nowhere. Then the boy collapsed.

"What happened?"
"I'M PRETTY SURE HE SHOULD BE FINEE!!"
"How do you know?"
"HE'S NOT LOSING ANY HEALTH!.!"
"Oh okay."
So we waited....in the rain. I had just about run out of patience. I wanted to get somewhere. Anywhere. Then...I saw someone. It was a person on a bicycle peddling from the direction we're trying to go. They stopped.
"Hi."
"Hi."
"What are y'all doing in this rain?"
"Well. We were heading somewhere but our friend fainted."
"Oh. Do y'all need any help?"
This person was shady. Not because of the way they dressed. It was extremely coincidental that they happened to be there near us. When the odds of a person leaving the first place we were at are slim. Almost like someone ran out of ideas and just used them as a filler for anything to happen while this rain goes on. But...while that's IMPOSSIBLE. I had to focus on the person who was awaiting my response. I looked towards my friend. She wasn't smiling.
"Um. Do you need help carrying your friend?"
"WE DON'T NEED HELP. ESPECIALLY FROM Y..OU."
My friend wasn't smiling. She was on the brink of crying.
"Okay then. I'll be on my way. But you know Moonshine. You probably shouldn't be traveling with her."
I was confused. What's wrong with traveling with her? The person peddled off on their bike. We probably would see them again. My friend seemed to have a history with them. I didn't want to question her. Not yet anyway....
