"tough day" said Sonia who happened to be my closest friend in this dungeon. Middle school is terrible, I just can't wait to get to high school, it will be so much better, at least I can lean on my sisters' reputation. Just six months left.

"I know right! " I replied

"I didn't understand anything that guy was saying today in Literature, I was so confused" said Sonia

"probably because of you know who" I winked at her, then she blushed. I have known Sonia since nursery school, she's pretty but the boys she fall for are out of her league, I mean we're just normal 13 year olds down here, not so popular or anything and she's in love with Ashley Talerico's boyfriend, head of the cheer leading squad, I mean common who does that, it should be an offence to dream this big.

"my mum's dropping me off at the audition, wish me good luck "

"oh, that was today? I totally forgot, I didn't tell mum, I can't come,but good luck, you can do it" I hugged her, she's a really good singer, she's auditioning for X-factor , she can make it.

"Bye Steph "

I can't believe I am walking home alone, I hate things like this, I mean someone could just shoot or something or I could get rapped, its not so safe here in Manitoba.

I felt something vibrate in my pocket, had to be my phone, kept it on silent since we had Miss Westfield last period geography, tough woman, I picked my phone, it was dad, that's weird.

"Hello" I said

"Stephanie, you have to get home now, you're close right?"

"yeah, sure I am,is every..."

"yes, Uhn, yes, everything is fine just rush here,your sisters are all around town"

"what?"

"Rushelle in Alberta, Stephanie downtown at the mall, you're the only one near home, run down here quick"

"sure thing, see you in a bit "

I wonder what's happening though,dad is never home this early, its just 4:30pm, that's first, secondly, his voice sounded so off, I am really worried,I walked as fast as I could and made it home.

On getting home, I could tell Rushelle was around already, I saw her bicycle laying on the floor, guess she threw it as a result of being worried too .

As I opened the door, I saw my two sisters already sitting on the sofa in the living room waiting for my dad so I joined them, it was really quiet down here, it was so obvious something was wrong. I hope its not so bad, just then I saw my mum coming down the stairs, it was obvious she was crying, Olivia was already crying, she's very emotional, mum was also wearing all black same as my dad.

I just knew it the moment I never wanted to come, has come.

"shit, someone died" i said to myself.
