MIN YOONGI
Home. That's what he most wanted. A place of warmth, freedom and happiness. A feeling of safety as a ceiling would cover him for protection. A breath of relief after a long day. He can vaguely remember his mother explaining to him when he was younger that a house was more then that. Like a body she said, the walls are the bones that keep it held strong, the pipes and lines as veins that keep the house running. Memories were the most important thing. Family.
As ridiculously he thought it sounded then, she was right. And he felt himself longing for the house he grew up in though he could barely remember what it looked like from the outside. Just small remnants of memories that he could recall were left over. Ones like when his mother would be sitting softly in the dirt of her newly redone garden with patches of Lily's she favored all around her and leafy greens, a mixture of reds, pinks and yellows that he could never remember the names of no matter how many times his mother would inform him. The days that his father would be working on his old beat up car, just right up before he completely disappeared from his life. And now he knows the reason why.
Yoongi pushed the memory away before it lingered too much and his anger would rise. As much as he wanted to worry about that he couldn't. The boys were more important.
"Man these woods go forever. I'm pretty sure we're lost and so is civilization." Namjoon said tirelessly. He didn't waste time looking back to give Yoongi a look of disappointment. Which Yoongi accepted,"I know, I know."
"But look," Taehyung called out,"Is that what I think it is?"
Everyone looked in the direction that the blonde pointed so innocently to.
"No no no, please. I know we're like... lost and all but seriously? I've seen enough horror movies to know how this will end." Namjoon groaned out, shivering dramatically.
Yoongi squinted at the moss covered cabin, barely even noticeable in the thick brush of branches and bushes,"There's no choice." He simply said before storming off to investigate.
"Ah come on why?!" Namjoon yelled.
A warmth soon swept across Yoongi's arm and he peered over to see that Jimin made his place next to him like usual.
"May I offer you my protection?" A small yet noticeable smirk appeared on Jimin's lips as his elbow nudged into Yoongi's side lightly.
"I think I'll be fine, if anything Namjoon seems to need it more."
"Oh come on-"
Yoongi in fact did not want Jimin's protection no matter how much the thought sounded pleasant. He couldn't risk the danger of him getting hurt by anything that came out of that cabin. So he dashed ahead instead, fully aware that the small heavily moss covered stairs were bound to break from his weight at some point.
Yoongi felt his stomach ache with intense stress but he wouldn't dare let the others sense his fears. The last thing he wanted was to be judged, per usual. But the anxiety he was feeling was above all the most natural sensation he could have at a moment such as this one.
He stood in front of the dark oak wood door, covered almost top to bottom with an earthy hue of moss and ivy. He didn't want to think about the amount of spider webs that also covered it. As his sweaty hand reached out to pull on the rusted handle, he felt the wind rush past his face way too harshly and it caught him off guard as he redirected his reach up to shield his face instead. Jimin noticed it too, squinting as if debris might fly into his eyes at any time.
The wind wasn't the only thing that lashed out so suddenly. Yoongi felt the ground start to shake beneath his feet, the little cabin rattling back and forth just like he was. The sky had darkened as if a storm had almost all day to brew up, something massive.
And then Yoongi felt himself being dragged backwards off the porch, "I think Namjoon was right.." Jimin pushed Yoongi to the ground to steady themselves. Yoongi could hear the sarcasm in Jimin's voice but it wasn't enough to cover up that he was afraid. The other boys had gathered around them, almost as if the ground were to break open and engulf them, they'd all go down together.
In utter shock and awe, rain had started to pour down that Yoongi almost lost his breath. He was soaked in an instant as the rain was so heavy it pricked his skin like needles."Oh Yeonjoo! Stop it right now!"
Yoongi barely heard the voice, so faint in the distance but his vision was blurred. And just like that, the rain stopped. The clouds cleared, letting the baby blue sky shine through the trees again. No ground moving or harsh winds. Nothing. Everything stood still as it did 5 minutes ago.
And then he saw her.
The porch had been occupied by a tall, slender girl. She looked a little fragile, especially in the face. Like a doll. She wore her long dark brown hair in a low pony tail, and silver round glasses a bit too big for her petite facial features. A navy blue jacket and white t-shirt is what wore with her jean skirt. Not a stain, not a wrinkle. Not the attire you'd expected especially with being in the middle of the woods or if came out of that cabin.
Her pink lips frowned down at them,"But Gram, they could have hurt you." Her dark eyes narrowed sternly,"I'll take care of this."
