"Who are you? And where are you?" The boy asked.

"Just call me Jeff. Where I am and what I am doesn't matter right now." The stranger replied.

"Jeff... did you throw me that animal?"

"Did you like it?"

Hunter nodded enthusiastically.

"Well, I have much more to show you if you're up for a little challenge." Jeff chuckled. His rough deep voice sent chills down the little kids spine.

"What kind of challenge?"

"We'll start small, for your first task you have to steal something." The man explained.

"Steal something? Like from a store?"

"Yeah, just take whatever you like and make it out unnoticed."

"B-but... that sounds scary." The boy frowned.

"Believe me, once you do this first task, you'll feel great, you'll be ready for an even greater kind of rush." Jeff said.

"But what if they catch me?"

"That's the challenge, you need to avoid that. And even if you do get caught, you're just a kid. They're not gonna do anything to you. But keep this in mind: until you succeed, I will not teach you anything else."

The boy pouted his lips. He was really curious about the "challenges" this Jeff guy was gonna give him and what was he gonna teach him. He was ready do do whatever he said. Even though he was a stranger, it felt like he could trust him for some reason. Like he already knew this person somehow.

"Okay. I will do it." Hunter said firmly.

"Very well." Jeff chuckled. "Then, come back here when you've done it. If you fail or give up, don't expect to hear from me again."

And with that being said Hunter could tell that Jeff was gone. So smoothly and silently. Who even is he? Why does it feel like there's some kind of connection between the two? The only way to find out was to obey his orders. And that's what the kid was going to do.

He snuck back home and into the warmth or his sheets, with the task stuck in his mind. How was he gonna do it and when? It was scary, but thrilling at the same time. It took some time for Hunter to shut those thoughts up and fall asleep, but eventually he did.

"Sweetie what would you like for breakfast today?" (Y/n) asked cheerfully.

The boy just listed his shoulders. He couldn't think of anything else but the task.

"Hmm... I'll make some french toast. How about that?" The woman suggested.

"Okay."

"Honey, is everything okay? You seem different today."

"Can we go shopping for toys?" He said.

"Toys? But you have a lot of wonderful toys." She replied.

"Pleaseee." He pleaded, putting his hands together in a praying motion.

(Y/n) sighed. "Alright, we'll go toy shopping. But you can only pick one toy."

A big smirk appeared on the child's face. "Okay." He said happily.

"Now, how about some food?" His mother suggested."

It was a rainy day. Hunter stared through a misty car window. He felt the butterflies in his stomach go crazier with every minute. He was scared, but excited at the same time. It was a new weird feeling for the kid.
