Mascot

It was just a regular fair that was in our town. There was the smell of sweets in the air and the many varieties of noises that came from the rides and games. There was even a mascot that walked around the fair. The mascot was a fluffy grizzly bear that walked around and waved at the children and took pictures with anyone who wanted one. It was cute, but I had definitely never seen a mascot at this fair before and I had been coming for years. Besides, what did a bear have to do with anything?
Although it was kinda strange, the mascot seemed innocent enough. They were just doing whatever a mascot would do at any other fair. I even made myself believe that it was possible that the best mascot was just new to the fair and would continue to be a part of the fair each year.
Since things seemed normal enough, my friends and I decided to take a picture with him. We asked for a picture and then all posed as another friend of ours took the picture.
Right as the camera snapped the picture, my one friend decided to grab the best head off of the mascot. We all froze once we realized that there was no head inside the costume.
