Chapter 13

PETER POV

Nearly twenty years I married Julie. It felt like my marriage was so bland because I felt from the start that Julie never loved me so I was outrageous to her.

Julie is a very nice woman even though she never gave up her feelings for me.

"Peter, why are you daydreaming?"

" I am alright"

"You don't have to lie. I know you from us are still kid"

"Never mind, I want to go"

When I wanted to leave Michael, suddenly I accidentally hit a woman and I was very surprised to see Lucy in front of me.

"Peter! We haven't met for a long time! How are you?"

" I am fine."

"You're still the same as I used to know. Always stiff with women"

"Do you think you are a perfect woman ?! You're also a stiff woman!"

Suddenly, Michael came over to us.

"Apparently you know each other"

"Michael, why are you here?"

"I'm here to accompany my best friend, Peter Sheppard"

Michael embraced my shoulder and Lucy looked very surprised at Michael's words.

"I didn't think you were friends with a stiff man like him!"

"It's better if we leave here, there's no point in lingering with the woman"

I was surprised by Michael's words because he seemed to know Lucy but I didn't think too much and tried to console myself by taking Michael to the bar.

"Looks like you know Lucy"

"I've known her for a long time and she's a woman who is very arrogant and annoying"

"It turns out it's not just me who thinks like that"

"Where do you know Lucy?"

"I know her since we went to Oxford"

"Wow! What a surprise"

"Lucy was always arrogant"

"No wonder no man can stand with her"

"I admit now that her appearance looks different"

"Do you like it?"

"Of course not! I love my wife!"

"Peter, I think your marriage is just a play"

" What do you mean?!"

"I knew from the beginning you were matched with your mother's chosen woman."

"I never considered my marriage a play! I really loved Julie!"

" Forgive me"

"I'd better go home. Thank you for accompanying me"

I decided to go home feeling frantic. I feel if my marriage isn't running properly.

I rarely spend time with Julie and my children. I think I want to turn around and start a new life with my family

JULIE POV

I was very surprised to see Peter's arrival. He walked towards me then prostrated on my feet.

"I'm sorry, Julie. All this time I've never been a good husband for you. I want to start everything from the beginning because I love you so much"

I was very moved to hear Peter's words. He looked sorry and made me feel guilty about him.

"I should apologize to you. All this time I can't be a good wife for you"

"You are not wrong, I wronged you and ignored you."

"Never mind, Peter, you don't blame yourself"

"I'm sorry, Julie. I promise to be the best husband for you"

"Thank you Peter"

"From now on I want us to be a whole and happy family"

I just stopped listening to Peter's words. In my heart I feel guilty about him because I love another man.

I wish Peter would never know the relationship I lived with Rob
