I woke up in the Hospital wing in what felt like the middle of the night. I looked around and saw Sam and Abbey sitting at the foot of my bed.
"Your awake!" Abbey cried. Her eyes were red and puffy, which led me to believe she had been crying.
Suddenly, it all came back to me. The duel in the field. The last thing I remembered, was Arch yelling Crucio and being in immense pain.
"How are you feeling?" Sam asked me. He sounded relieved that I was okay.
"I'm aching all over and I feel really dizzy," I said. It hurt to speak. Suddenly, Madam Pomfrey came rushing over.
"I told you two to be gone half an hour ago!" She said in a hushed voice. "Now get out, the patient needs some rest." She ushered Sam and Abbey out of the room. I could hear them whispering as they left.
"Now you stay here and don't move," Madam Pomfrey exclaimed. "I've got to go get some pain relievers." She hurried off to the cabinet at the end of the large wing.
I looked to my left and saw a young boy with dried blood down the side of his head. A large gash above his eye was the cause.
"What happened to that young boy?" I asked Madam Pomfrey when she came back, a cup of cloudy liquid in hand.
"Fell of his broom." She replied. "Now you need to drink this whole cup to make you feel better. And don't you even think about getting out of this bed." I knew not to cross Madam Pomfrey. She was already annoyed at how many injuries I got in my past years, I didn't want to make things worse.
I willingly took the cup from her hand and slowly took a sip. It tasted like a mixture of mustard, vinegar, and piss.
"Disgusting," I mumbled under my breath. I drank the rest of the cup and struggled not to vomit. Then I leaned back and pulled the sheets up to my chin. I drifted off to sleep.
I was in the dungeons, heading down the corridor towards the entrance to the kitchen. It was deserted and all the torches were gone out. There was a faint glow from the end of the corridor.
I followed the light. When I got there, i was blocked by a door. The light seemed to be coming from inside the room. Once I was about a foot away from the door, it swung open. I kept going until I ended up in front of a fountain. Someone was saying my name.
"Y/n, Y/n" It called in a far away voice. "Y/n"...
I woke up and saw a familiar face staring down at me...
