With widened eyes, he opened the box and instantly felt grief and sadness. Tears started to pour out of his eyes and Collete's eyes. This wave of emotion was coming from the dead and barely alive spirits that were coming from the gems inside the box. These large and once valuable gemstones were now just nothing but regular ones. No longer very valuable.
This became a realization that the Apatite gemstone on the table that was Cyan's Gemstone, the previous king of Dragonite wasn't the only gemstone who continuously been life sucked until its spirit was dry. The box proved it! It was full of them.
Barely breathing, but still there.
Collete jumped back in disgust. She didn't want to suck the last of her father's living essence just to reach her home kingdom. She felt dumb for not realizing all along that she could fly there herself! Magiano could put a teleportation spell on the chest and put it in a cave in Dragonite and fly there safely. They could reach Saphirre's mother, Ruby, and their spirits could be separated and boom! Happily ever after!
But she knew fairly well that it wasn't going to be that easy.
Magiano figured this out and did exactly what Saphirre was thinking. He hopped on her back after he teleported the chest away and the dragon and the wizard flew to Dragonite.
