8. Jack Meets Mark

"Thank you so much." Jack said.

"No problem, Mister!" The boy laughed. "What's your name, by the way?"

"I'm Jack." Jack said, blushing a little.

"What a cute little name! I'm Mark!" the boy said enthusiastically.

Jack blushed. He didn't think that his name would be cute to some people.

Mark and Jack went downstairs. They didn't want him falling down again.

"Thanks for saving my life, Mark." Jack said.

"I'm happy to help!" Mark smiled.

They both saw Maddy and Sophie.

Jack looked at Mark with worry.

"Don't worry, Jack. I know these girls." Mark said.

Sophie turned around to see Mark.

"Mark!!!!" Sophie exclaimed. "I didn't think you'd make it!"

"Haha! Well, I'm here now, Sophie!" Mark said, laughing.

"I see you've met Jack." Maddy said, giggling at Jack hugging Mark.

"Yup. I just saved his life. He nearly fell down the stairs." Mark said.

Sophie rolls her eyes and giggles.

"Oh, Jack. What are we gonna do with you?" Maddy laughs.

A boy suddenly through the hall and notices Mark.

"Hey, Marky." He said.

Mark groaned.

"What do you want now, Ryan?" he groaned.

"I see you've got a little date here. New friend of yours?" Ryan asked, with a smirk.

"We just met. Right Jack?" Mark said.

Jack shot up.

"Um!!! Yeah!!! He saved me from falling down stairs!" Jack said, smiling in a way Anti would. He immediately hides his smile away.

"Again with that saving people thing, Mark? People can simply save themselves." Ryan said, mockingly.

"HE WOULD HAVE DIED!!! I HAD TO, RY!!!" Mark yelled.

"Suit yourself" Ryan said, walking off.

"Just ignore him. He's an idiot." Mark said to Jack.

Mark and Jack began walking through the ballroom.

Mark suddenly had an idea.

"Hey Jack. How about we dance? We don't have to." Mark suggested.

Jack blushed deep and hard.

"Should I?" he thought, still blushing.

He didn't know what to say.
