9. The Dance

Jack slightly nods his head, smiling.

Mark takes hold of Jack's hand, and they both danced together.

As the dance continued, Jack blushes as he looked at Mark.

"He's so...nice. He's not like other boys I meet...What is this feeling?" Jack thought to himself.

As they continued dancing, Maddy and Sophie looked at them, smiling.

"They both look like they're having a great time." Sophie said.

"Why is Jack blushing?" Maddy asked.

"Wait..." Sophie shot up in excitement and curiosity.

"Does Jack actually LIKE Mark?!" Sophie and Maddy cried.

They squeal silently.

"S! Jack actually has feelings for Mark!" Maddy cried.

"I know! I don't even mind it. The gender doesn't matter!" Sophie cried.

Jack and Mark smiled at each other, as they both looked at each other in the eyes.

"That was fun, don't you think Jack?" Mark said.

"Yeah! It was!" Jack said, blushing a little.

Jack let out a little laugh.

Mark blushed deeply.

"Why is his laugh....so....CUTE?!" Mark thought to himself.

Mark suddenly kissed Jack's cheek.

Jack squealed loudly and blushed deeply.

"M-Mark!" Jack cried.

"Sorry..I just wanted to..." Mark said, laughing.

Jack had something on his mind.

"Mark, do you usually go to Masquerades with a girl?" Jack asked.

"Well, I used to with my girlfriend Amy. But then she died..." Mark said.

"She died!? How?!" Jack cried.

"She died due to a deadly sickness..." Mark sighed. "What about you? Did you usually go to Masquerades with YOUR girlfriend?"

Jack froze.

He still remembered Anti killing Signe after their breakup.

Jack looked away, with slight tears in his eyes.

"I can't tell him I killed my own girlfriend! What should I say?!" Jack thought.

He was close to hyperventilating, but he luckily stopped himself from freaking out.
