I haven't been out for a movie since a month or something. Actually, I haven't done anything since a month. Thanks to Risha, my evil twin. Just because she doesn't want to go out anywhere and have a LIFE for heaven's sake, I'm tortured at home too. I'm so damn lucky to have parents who don't trust me and that thing of a sister, Risha.
"Which movie do you want to watch?" I asked.
"So you will go with me?" he said, his face lighting up.
"Answer my question, Chirag."
"Whatever you want to watch," he said, still happy. As if I'd get permission to go out. But I wanted to go out and have fun. Even if he was there, I really don't mind. I just wanted a break.
"I will have to ask my parents first. You know, they're too protective of me."
I'm sure my parents would let me go, mainly because they've known Chirag since Abhay Bhaiyya started wearing diapers. Secondly, they think I'm more of a sister to him automatically because he's my brother's best friend. Weird much?
"I can ask them, if you want me to,” he offered.
"Can you please do that?" I asked him. He nodded and gave me a smile. I smiled back, with the littlest hope that I could watch a movie.
"Okay, if they agree I'll come. But," I said.
"But what?" he asked, looking confused.
"Well, we’re going as friend okay?” said. He looked a little sad.
"Yes, it's a friendly thing," he said and nodded.
"Okay, see you later," I said and waved.
"Hey wait! You din't tell me which one you wanted to watch!" he yelled.
"I'll text you," I yelled back. A big smile grew on his face. I waved a bye and walked back into my apartment building.
"Isha, come here," Pa said as soon as I entered the apartment. I groaned and walked into the living room. I stood in front of him and crossed my arms.
"What Pa?"
"Here, take your phone," he said handing it over to me. I was shocked. I took it anyway.
"How come?" I asked. He signaled me to sit next to him. I took the arm rest instead.
"How come? How is it that you changed your mind?" I asked, again.
"Just like that." Okay, may be Dad was bi-polar. One minute he's all angry and now he's trying to be nice. Wait, he is nice; only because he gave my precious little thing back.
"Oh, just like that," I repeated.
"Isha, darling, you know we love you and that's why we do everything that's best for you," he said looking at me.
"Oh ya," I said looking at some painting that was hung on the wall.
"And you don't seem to realize it. It's time you and Risha bond."
"Pa, do we have to do the talk now? I'm tired. I need to sleep," I said yawing. Well I faked it but it looked real enough.
"Yes, we have to. I know that yawn was fake," he said smiling. I couldn't help but smile back. Sometimes I wonder what happened to that relation Pa and I shared. We used to be best of buddies and all that. But now things certainly have changed.
"Okay, I'll try to be nice. Pa, can I ask you something?" I asked. He nodded.
"Can I go watch a movie tomorrow?" I asked him, hoping that he'd say yes.
