Temptation

HAPON na nang magpasya kaming umuwi. I've missed them that I forgot to watch the time. Shawn was the same, he had a good time with my Lolo.

"Don't say no for tomorrow spa, Duchess. You needed that," Millicent reminded.

Hindi ako nag-react doon dahil gusto ko ring malaman ang suhestiyon at schedule bukas ni Shawn. Mahaba ang biyahe kaya naka-iglip ako. Nagising nalang noong papasok na kami sa mismong city. Ang pinsan ko naman ay tahimik at seryoso sa cell phone niya.

"You have work tomorrow?"

"Yes. You can have your whole time for the spa."

Ngumuso ako. Parang mas gusto kong sumama sa work niya kaysa kay Millicent. "It won't take long—"

"Huwag kang magsalita ng tapos, dear cousin. After the spa, we will go shopping. I don't bring with me any of my signature dresses so I have to buy. You too."

Huminga ako nang malalim. Nawalan na ng ganang dugtungan pa ang sasabihin ko.

"Spa. Shopping, what else?" Shawn inquired.

Millicent looked at her fingernails. "Our shopping rituals take time, Shawn. I bet you didn't experience that with my cousin, because if you do you'll probably get bored."

Nagkatinginan kami ni Shawn. Tinaasan niya ako ng kilay.

Pinalo ni Millicent ang backrest ng upuan ko. "Heads up, dear cousin. See this newly Louie Vuitton bags? Oh my... I like it."

I've been resisting from this temptation but it's too powerful. My eyes widened and gave my whole attention on the screen too. "Wait... show me the last one."

"It made from sparkling crystals and diamonds."

Nagkatinginan kami ni Millicent at sabay na ngumiti.

"That's mine." I am facing Shawn but my whole attention is on the screen, I can still see his reaction. He is smiling. I don't know if he is teasing me or maybe he is having fun because it was my first time to act like this in front of him.

Maybe I should stop my addiction to shopping. I cleared my throat. "I t-think I have the same design on my wardrobe."

Ang ngiti ni Shawn ay nauwi sa hagalpak. Inosente namang tumingin si Millicent sa kanya. Ramdam ko namang uminit ang pisngi ko.

"Damn it! I will buy that Minaudiere."

"Whatever, Duchess. See you tomorrow." Humalik siya sa pisngi ko. Tinapik ang likod ng upuan ni Shawn para bumaba sa entrance ng Nightingale Palace.

Binaba ko ang salamin ng bintana. "You sure, Second is inside?"

"Duchess, thirty minutes late na nga ako. Ciao."

She turned her back on us and didn't look back. I shook my head. Are they on again? Marami kaming pag-uusapan nito bukas tiyak.

"Among your cousins, she's the closest to you?"
