MJ yawned as she looked up at the moon. It was currently 12:25 a.m and she had decided that a stroll in the nearby park would be a good idea. She had already notified her roommate just in case she ended up getting kidnapped or lost.
The brunette shivered as the summer breeze blew lightly. She was cold, not unusual for her, but it was kinda ironic when it was a warm summer night. MJ looked at her phone as she received a text message, and didn't pay attention where she was going. She looked up just in time to see that she was about to run into someone.
MJ quickly moved out of the way but tripped over her own two feet and fell on her butt (MJ, you are the clumsiest person I know. You always manage to fall UP the stairs and run into walls-). The person saw her fall and came over to her. She looked up and gave them an apologetic smile.
"Sorry. . ." She mumbled. The person laughed and helped her up. She got a better look at them and saw that it was a teenage boy.
"No need to be sorry; you did nothing wrong. I'm Roman Prince by the way." The boy introduced himself.
"Nice to meet you Roman," MJ replied quietly. She picked her phone up off the grass and sighed in relief when she saw the screen still has not yet cracked. She put it in her hoodie pocket, then awkwardly stood there. "I um. . .I should head back home. My roommate is probably wondering where I am." She began walking away but stopped when she heard the boy call out to her.
"Hey! I didn't catch your name!" He called out. MJ smirked and looked back at him.
"I didn't drop it!" She replied and went on her way. She giggled knowing that if they meet again, he was going to get annoyed with not knowing her name.
She entered her house and yawned again. "Goodnight moon, goodnight stars, goodnight crickets that chirp." She went to her room and flopped on her bed, slowly falling asleep.
