Josh's Bizarre Journey: Winter Fury

Chapter 2, Part 1

Through the entire morning, Josh felt very uncomfortable with Denzel around. "He thinks so fast, answers so fast, and speaks so clearly and calmly. He's like a living machine!" Josh thought to himself. He taps his fingers on his armchair in a repetitive manner, hoping that the bell rings so that he can finally ease his mind during lunch. "And so, it is certain that the---" The bell ring cut off Sir JD before he could finish the lesson. "Yes! Naisu!~" Josh felt relieved. "Yo' Jul, let's go have lunch at the cafeteria," says Josh. "M'Kay, let me fix my bag first," Julius replied while hastily arranging the books and stuff in his bag.

"Hm, about time. I'm famished, I wonder what kind of low-class food they serve here," Denzel thought to himself as he spreads his arms and stretches them. He then grabs his book on his seat and prepares to leave the room. Before he could reach the door, his eyes gaze at the back of the room. There he sees the poor girl he saw from earlier, her clothes are fine and clean now. "It's that girl again, I wonder what happened," Denzel thought. A few seconds later, the girl finally notices the stare that Denzel is giving her. Startled, she stops reading her book and walks out of the classroom. "Hm, was I too scary for her?" says Denzel while examining his own body. "That girl, she intrigues me," Denzel said out loud, the room empty of other students. Out of the blue, he notices a wallet on the chair she sat on before. It is decorated with colorful letters printed on it. "Did she make this? This looks pretty cute," he says while taking a closer look at it. "Jean, what a beautiful name, that is," he then puts the wallet back on the chair. "Still, my heart does not require to have its own admiration in others. I have bigger plans to finish," Denzel clenched his fist, and walks out of the room.

"Moreee, it tashte sho guud," Josh said as he chows down the last slice of pizza. "Come on, haven't you had enough already?" says Clarenzo. Annoyed by the loud noise of Josh's chewing, he sits at another vacant seat away from Josh. "How about you Anton? Don't you have anything to eat?" Julius asked while eating his Happy Meal. "I don't mind starving myself. As long as you're happy with your happy meal, I'm happy aswell, hehehe..." Anton replied with a smug look on his face. Julius narrowed his eyes, and sat beside Josh. "I am not going to be affected by your gayness. Begone," he said to Anton. They ate silently for the next 5 minutes, with Josh patiently waiting for the gang to finish their lunch. "Alright gang, lez do dis! Come on bros," Josh then stood up and went ahead of the gang. Josh then looked at the guys behind him, "So guys, what's our next sub---" Before he could finish his question, he accidentally bumped into a girl in front of him. Josh then fell on the floor, with a number of books falling on top of him. "AaaAh, goodness gracious!" Josh yelped in pain as he rubs his head. "Oh dear, s-sorry..." The girl apologizes as she picks up the books that fell on Josh. "Don't worry, it's fine. Let me help you," Josh stood up and helped the girl with the books. "Thank you," the girl said, wiping off the sweat on her face. "No problem. Now, lead the way, Miss.....?" says Josh, but also remembering that he does not know the name of the girl. "Oh, it's... um... Izumi. I'm Izumi," the girl cheerfully smiled. "Oh, I see. The name's Josh. Josh Joestar, or just call me Jojo!" Josh gave her a wide smile. "Nice to meet you, Jojo," Izumi giggled. "Nice to meet you too, Izumi," Josh said.
"Noooooooooooooo! Whyyyyyy?" Anton cried. "Oh shut up, would 'ya?" Julius said with irritation, their eyes jealously locked on the two.
On their way to the library, Josh got curious and asked Izumi, "So, what's a girl like you doing with a ton of books on the first day of school?"
"Oh, it's just that... I'm the new librarian," Izumi said. "Librarian? What? Really? How'd that happen?" Josh barraged Izumi with questions. "I got chosen by the former librarian to be the next one. She entrusted this duty to me, so I have to fulfill her expectations. Besides, it's fun being in a room where different kinds of knowledge is stacked up all around you," Izumi giggled. "Whoa, really? You must be an amazingly smart girl," Josh exclaimed, clearly astonished by the girl with him. "Eh, I'm not really smart. I just really love reading," Izumi said. "Oh really? Then state the value of Pi with 10 or more digits," Josh playfully asked. "3.141592654..." Izumi answered, her mind drifting off to the numbers in her head. Then realization hit her, and she immediately covers her mouth. "Ding ding ding! See? You are smart. Don't deny the truth," Josh teasingly said to her. Izumi lightly blushed and pouted. "Don't worry, it's just a compliment. I'm sure you're smarter than I am," Josh laughed. "Well... t-thanks I guess. No one's complimented me before..." Izumi shyly said. Josh smiled, they then proceeded to the library without a word between them.
Arriving at their destination, Josh stood in awe as he looks inside. "Wow, the library. Am I dreaming?" Josh looked all around the library. What was once the dirty floor is now completely clean and shiny. The books and bookshelves that were filled with cogwebs are now updated and replaced with newer ones. The old malfunctional computers and air fans have been renewed and restored to their prime state. On top off all that, there's also purple cat decorations and glitter on some places in the library. "Heh, it's all fixed up now. Ever since the old librarian left, I renovated everything here and moved all the old junk to the storage room," Izumi said. "You sure are pretty good at handling stuff, the librarian must be proud of you," Josh smiled. "Well... I don't know... You can leave those books over there, I'll take care of them," Izumi said. "Okay Miss librarian!" Josh said enthusiastically. He then laid down the books on the table, and went back to the entrance. "I'll be on my way now, goodbye!" says Josh. "Thanks for the help, take care!" Izumi joyfully waved.

The school bell rung, indicating that it is now the end of the first day of school. Denzel walks in the hallway and puts his books in his locker. "Easy first day, and this will be an easy week," Denzel thought. "This school year is gonna be the same as always, no one will be able to fight my Noir Knight, they will all fall the same way as the other pathetic weaklings who stood up to me," he added. He then went out of the building, and walked on the student-filled streets.
"Dude, I feel like that guy is up to something," Clarenzo said, watching Denzel leave his line of sight. "How can you tell?" Anton asked. "Because he looks like he's up to something," Clarenzo replied. "Don't think too much about it, it's just the first day of school. Besides, we haven't gotten to know him much, so we can't say he's bad," Julius said, fixing his eyeglasses. "I don't know man, but I feel like there's something unnatural about him," Clarenzo added.
"He's so menacing that he's creeping me out."
