Her Ray Of Hope

Running her hands through that note Naina went in her past. The past she wants to forget, erase all memories of it. But that past also provided her A Ray Of Hope for her. A hope that gave another meaning to her life.......a hope that introduced her to motherhood. No matter how much she hates that dreadful day.....she can't forget the gift she got. Maybe for others it may not look like gift but a reminder of something very awful but not for her.

Naina received the note of Rajveer the day after he left. She don't know why but she expected  apologize in person. She deserved that....didn't she??It's another matter that it didn't had made any difference...but still.

It was month after a month he left for his posting she decided to collect the scattered pieces of her life and move ahead. This is the lesson that she has learnt from her life....move ahead.
She gave her MAT examination and got a decent collage in Chandigarh. She deserved better collage than, the way she had worked hard but being dyslexia person she always had a problem in reading and writing. So getting qualified MAT and getting collage meant a big deal to her.   

She told her future plans to Lalaji and he was more than happy for her. He himself went with her to the collage and made sure she was settled. Instead of choosing to leave in hostel she decided to rent a flat and Lalaji made sure she gets the best. From him she also got to know Rajveer was posted in Siachen.

Her collage was going well. She had to work extra hard with respect to other students but she didn't mind that. That extra hard work always kept her mind busy not giving her time to dwell upon anything else. As always she didn't able to make any friends in collage due to her reserve nature and also somewhere there was feeling of being rejected. For the first time being married to Rajveer was beneficial to her as none of her classmates or senior boys hit her, knowing she is married and that too with Major of Indian Army.....and no one wanted to mess with The Major.

Only if they knew the truth. Naina thought bitterly.

It was her 2nd month in the collage that she realized she has missed her periods again this month. Last month she dismissed it's thought by thinking it's late as she has taken lot of stress and also there was change in her lifestyle....now she don't exercise regularly and also there is also change in her diet. But now missing her periods for 3 months back to back has made her restless. That night came rushing inside her head. He didn't use protection nor she was in condition to think about taking pills.

Is she..... isn't she??? was the thought running inside her mind.

So before consulting a doctor she thought of taking home pregnancy test. She rushed towards medical store and brought pregnancy test kit and went through its instructions.
She took out the kit and went inside the washroom and did what was instructed on it and waited for the result. While waiting there was so many thoughts coming and going inside her head....if postive what will she do.....go ahead with the pregnancy or abort.....she didn't even want to complete that word. That word sound so awful even to think. How can she kill an innocent child....her child....Rajveer's child....their child. And if the test is negative then what is her life full of loneliness.

Putting full stop to her thoughts she looked at the kit only to find 2 red lines indicating according to the instruction that she indeed is pregnant.

I am pregnant.......

I am  pregnant.........

I  am  pregnant.............

Was the only thought running inside her mind.

"What should I do now....Kya karu...kise baat karu??? Much samajh me nahi aa raha."
