I silently tiptoe down the stairs, afraid to wake up my sleeping parents. I am already dressed in my hoodie, and some ripped jeans. I make some breakfast, brush my teeth, and silently leave for school. I dont have a car, so I'm forced to walk. I always wear my hood. I never let anyone see my face... not even my own parents. They left permanent memories written across my face and the rest of my body.
As I make my way to school, it starts to rain. I fucking hate the rain. I tell myself. But, I just brush it off and continue walking to school. When I get there, the bell rings. I speed down the hallway to my locker. Instead of just simply grabbing my things and leaving for class, I get shoved into my locker. I turn around furiously, and see it's the girl I hate most. Cassandra Nicole. Shes possibly one of the biggest sluts here. I swear to God, she goes around fucking every guy she can. "Get the hell out of my way, bitch!" She says to me. See, the thing is, I dont talk. I talk to nobody. I made myself permanently go mute. I swore to myself I wouldn't let anyone hurt me ever again... not like how my parents did.

                           (Flashback)
I'm seven years old, and my mom and dad are fighting again. My father storms up to me, telling me that I was a mistake to this world and that I'm a piece of shit. He punches me in the jaw, and I cant help but to cry. My seven year old brain didnt know how to process what he just did.
He hit me again, and again, and again. I had bruises everywhere because of my father. He made me who I am today. My mom comes to behind him and punches him in the back of the neck. He turns around and starts beating the shit out of her. After a few weeks, she finally left my dad, leaving me behind... she said that someday she would come back to me, but she never did.
                          (Present Day)
I'm 17 now, a sophomore in high school. I go to my first period classroom. I'm greeted by a bunch of paper wads thrown at me. Im used to it. That been happening to me since the third week of freshman year. I take my seat in the very back of the room in the corner. I prefer to be alone now.
All of a sudden, the teacher stood teaching and announced that we have a new student joining our class. Oh great. Another bothersome asshole to deal with. When the guy walks into the classroom, he immediately scans the room. His eyes land on mine. He smiles and waves. Hes super cute too. But you never know, after all, you never judge a book by its cover. The teacher tells him to introduce himself so he says, "Hi, my name is Cole Stone." Almost all the girls scream at the sound of his name. The only thing I really focus on is his beautiful brown hair, emerald green eyes, and amazingly chiseled jaw.
The teacher tells him to sit in the seat in front of me, so he does. As he sits down, he looks at me and smiles.
