"SAM!!!" I shouted to my best friend as he stood by his locker.
"Dean!" I stopped short of reaching him.
"Man I hate you and your supernatural crap." I mumbled and pouted, glaring at him in the process. As expected he lifted me up, and twirled me around earning us some strange looks from our fellow peers. I couldn't help it; I giggled. "Stop it!" He laughed and plopped me back on the ground.
"See, you don't hate me. In fact, I'm beginning to think its love" he said pressing his hand to his heart.
Someone coughed walking passed us,"Fags" Sam's head snapped up,
"Yes I am. Oh and David? Tell your Dad he doesn't need to pay me for Friday, I enjoyed it just as much as he did!" My eyes went wide and I turned to Sam and quickly back to David,
"Um, no he didn't mean that I am sooo sorry, we're sure your dad's not gay, I mean he had you right? Ha, straight as a Ferris wheel - no I mean a Ferris wheel switch you know the straight little bars with balls at the end...." I sighed heavily, I seriously need to shut up. But, " I didn't mean to bring attention to your dad's ball I'm sure they're not as small as the switch's unless they are! There's nothing wrong with that!" I could hear Sam chuckling to himself and he patted me in the head.
All in all,If it wasn't for David's friends dragging him away I'm pretty sure Sam and I would've just been pulverized by the Hulk."Sam, dude you're gonna get us killed one day. And stop claiming it before people really do start labeling you as gay." He looked down at me with a soft smile on his face.
"You actually made it worse D,Gay or not I'm still the hottest guy here!" He said turning his back on me and heading to our first period class.
"Yes you are." I said following him down the hallway like a lost puppy.
Sam Peterson has been my best friend for as long as I can remember, we did everything together. When I say everything I mean everything! When we turned 15 we had just gotten into the habit of not showering with each other every other day, we were 17 now and to be quite honest I kinda missed it. Our parents could never decide if us doing everything together was cute or strange. Sometimes I could hear them whispering about 'Oh, when are Sam and Devin gonna stop relying on each other for everything. It's not healthy Mary-Anne.' Other times it'd be 'Awe, aren't they so cute Suzanne? How adorable would it be if our boys dated'? Both in my opinion were stupid things to say. For one Sam was straight while I was gay. Second of all, if he was gay I promise you I'd be the last guy he'd want to date. He's even said we were 'bros' so yeah, that won't happen. Plus I didn't even like him! Sure he was cute with his blond curly hair, sweet smile, amazing body, sparkling teeth and baseball butt. But NO! I wasn't interested in him like that.
Sam and I took our normal seats in the back of the room and were about to start talking when the teacher silenced the whole room,
"Alright class! We have a new student joining our lovely class today." I scoffed, yeah 'lovely' that's one way to describe a class full of homophobes, prissy bitches and asshole jocks. I was going for something different but sure Miss Lawson 'lovely' works too. She gestured for someone to enter the room and when he did, I joined the prissy girls in their collective gasps. Let's just say if I was someone who questioned my sexuality this boy would automatically make it known for me.
But nope,
Gay, definitely gay.He gave a small wave to the class, and I swooned. Dear giant man in the sky, please let him play for my team. Please let him have been born with a rainbow heart.
I heard Sam let out a soft 'my god' and I turned to look at him. His arms were folded on his chest and his eyes were locked on the new kid. "Go on! Introduce yourself." Miss Lawson said.New kid rolled his eyes and turned to the class. He gave the room a once over before finally talking.
"My names Foster Giles. And in case it isn't obvious I'm new here." British accent oh dear God. He turned back to Miss Lawson who had her hand over her heart in a dramatic fashion. "That enough?" She nodded her head slowly and he turned away, looking for a seat to take.
Girls were pushing out their chests, batting their eyelashes and kicking empty chairs by them to make their point more obvious to Foster. I watched as he would politely nod at them and continue walking.
Ha!
Gay?He made eye contact with me and stopped walking. He smirked and started making a b-line in my direction.
Oh no.
Oh no.
I'm too awkward for this.
He looked at the empty desk next to me, pushed it up against my own and sat down.Gay! Ha!
I tried to ignore everyone's eyes on us. He seemed to notice how uncomfortable I was,
"Shouldn't you begin your lesson for the day Miss....Lawson?" Her eyes fluttered when he addressed her. Okay, ew.
"Of course. Class! Up here, pay attention so I can hurry up and call roll." I watched Foster out of the corner of my eye. He was beautiful, to say the least. Dark hair, stormy blue eyes and a distinctively chiseled face. Perfect. My thoughts were interrupted by a nudge in my side. I turned to face Sam,
"Huh?" He pointed to the front of the room. Miss Lawson was looking at me, as was the entire room. Great. ".........Here?" Miss Lawson huffed and looked back down at her clipboard.
"I suggest you pay attention next time Mr. Locks instead of staring at our new companion." The room filled with mocking laughter as I felt my face heat up. I looked down trying to block it all out.
"Not everyone wants a faggot staring at them Devin." 'lovely' classroom she said. Lying bitch. Foster twisted to his side to glare at the voice, Connor Ford.
"What did you call him?" His voice was dark and sinister.
Pretty Gay.
British Gay.
Scary Gay.The look on Connor's face said it all. Foster wasn't even addressing me and I felt like I was gonna piss my pants, or cream them. I couldn't really tell.
Hey! Don't blame me! It was kinda hot."Nothing." Connor said looking down and turning away from Foster. Foster let out a little huff and turned back around.
"That's what I thought. Miss Lawson! You said this was a lovely classroom, you didn't say there were homophobes here. I'm pretty sure that takes away from the 'lovely' don't you think?" She shook her head vigorously,
"I - I wasn't aware." He squinted his eyes at her.
"Mhm, I'm sure you weren't. I would hate for my father to have to know about all this. You might wanna resolve it before the issue gets out of hand." She nodded at him and turned to Connor,
"Detention." I was awestruck. How did he do that?
