They had heard of it.
Love is just an emotion.

But when both combined,
They didn't know what to make of it.
When it came to love,
was age really just a number
to them?
Yes,it was.

Some just end up falling in love
irrespective of age
and they had.
They had fallen in love
long before they knew
what love stood for.

When it came to him,
everything else except him
was trivial to her.

When it came to her,
everything about her was of the essence to him.

She was the home
to a wanderer like him,
A pillar to lean on to,
in the times of difficulties.
A refuge he refused to take
on times but always
ended up there because
that's where
was he was led
by his destiny.

He was the moon to her
moonless sky,
someone who calmed
her thoughts on the
stormy nights.
A heart she refused
to fall in love with,
but little did she know
she already had.

Their lives were intermingled,
Their stories were interlaced.
Demons of past
haunted and
danced around them.

Rivalries and secrets
weren't enough to break them
apart so people they loved
used them as pawns
in their own story to tear their
hearts apart.

Unaware of the One who handles
all the affairs and all the hearts,
The Just and the Judge
who returns 'Kifarah'.

Amongst all the chaos
of being in love those two were,
Nobody had reminded them of the
One who puts love in the hearts.

They were oblivious of
The One who had
everything preordained and
how far they would be led
together by their fate.

The journey
for her was just a cruel
game on the part of fate,
But would she realise
that it was all the Allah's intent?

In the age of love stories
which lead to astray and
leaves with nothing but
to mourn over fate,
He was to endow her
with something to celebrate.

In the era of ordinary tales
and happy endings,
He was to bless her
with an
extraordinary tale of
new beginnings.

But the question was
through their journey of love and
life lessons,
After everything
accorded to them
in the end,
Would it be taken in the
light of
same intent?
After everything would she
still claim it to be
The fault in their fate?
