one september day, your heart was suddenly mine to keep safe. i promise to keep your heart safe and happy. your beautiful smile is the first reason i fell. then i saw your eyes, your kindness, just you. thoughts of you create a firework spectacle that could rival shows on the fourth of july. the way your name drips off my tongue. honey soaked and sugar coated. my heart melts in your grasp. i love you more than anything. you are my safety net. my god this is terrifying, electrifying. i have always been scared to fall but knowing you're falling too brings me comfort somehow. you're probably scared too. please don't be. the way words float from your lips remind me of fireflies on a humid summer night. your beauty rivals even the best sunset. you're the reason i'm alive. i don't know who or where i would be if you hadn't waltzed your way into my life, dear. you were a sinking ship i didnt mind being on as it went down but you seemed to have left me on the docks.
short but sweet. how i hated the day you left, but how i love that you're still here in a sense.
