Queen Novo sat down on her bed with a sigh. It was now evening,and the stars shone brightly. She looked at a painting of her , her husband King Nova , and Princess Skystar as a newborn. She smiled as she sighed. What she would give to hold a baby one more time.....
She softly gasped as she heard something crying. She looked in the direction of the sound,and flew towards it. She didn't notice General Seaspray and 6 guards following her. She landed, and followed the sound on foot. She walked into a grove, and the sound was coming from the center in a bush under a fallen tree. She slowly walked towards it,stepping over a bloody dagger.
Small pieces of cloth were everywhere,painted red by innocent blood. She then saw a woman's corpse lying on the ground with the look of fear still on her face. Queen Novo gasped,terrified as she backed away from the corpse. She then heard the crying again,and walked up to the bush containing the unknown creature. She gulped,and pulled the creature from the bush.
She then gasped when she saw it was a baby that had closed its eyes and given up crying. It opened its eyes,which irises were brown. It cooed at her,and giggled. Novo looked at the woman's corpse,and realized that a mother was murdered while protecting her child. She almost could hear the woman screaming as she imagined her running while holding the baby.
She smiled when she heard the baby babble at her. "It's alright,little one.Mama is here.". The baby giggled,reaching for Novo. "My little Oceana.".
