Today is November 14th, 1935. Ziibi's sister, Tepkunset, is back in the infirmary. She has the flu again. This time I am not sure she'll live. Me and Ziibi cried about it for a bit. I'll really miss Tepkunset. Also, Sabrina isn't much of our friend anymore. She went missing and there was a whole police search. I think they said she was kidnapped. I am not sure.
Two girls just started talking about what happened. One of them said she snuck out and died in the cold. Oh, that is another thing. We have to wear skirts and it is freezing! Ziibi had blue toes when she arrived at Miss Hannigan's class yesterday. Oh, and once again, I forgot to write down what happened with Daren. He wrote me a whole letter and taped it to a bench for me to find.
Olivia,
I just wanted to tell you that I have a crush on you. I know we do not know each other. I am only thirteen! But I thought it was best if we never spoke again because I am in danger of being expelled. I know barely anything about you after all. Speaking to you in the hallway gave me extreme anxiety because I did not want to get caught talking to a girl. I also think that it is best for you. Sorry if I formatted this in a very fancy manner. I want to be a poet when I am older. Maybe we can talk to each other sometimes every now and then.
Daren (Adahy Minchova)
So apparently Adahy is his real name. It is cute. But maybe outside of school over Winter Break we can talk more!
Quick Update. It is before school. I think I might write again on December 1st. They said we would be going home soon!
