Warrior of Arcana

Chapter 4 (Loving this already)

  We sit in a park in the middle of the city preparing to begin our shapeshifter hunt. Kid fills us in on their lore. Shapeshifters must come in contact with fresh dna to change form. They are vulnerable when the change form because they must shed their previous skin. Also their eyes tend to glow when caught on camera. Shapeshifters are creatures of magic that can only be killed by magic.

  "So what you're saying is we should use our phones to find this thing?" I say pulling mine from my pocket.

  "Actually no... That would be if we were All lesser magic users." He points to himself and then to Alexa.
"We are disciples of the lesser gods, the gods of the elements." He points to me. "Where as you are Arcana's disciple, and Arcana is a greater god."

   "So, how does that help us?"

  "You can see the arcane essence in magic, all magic is linked to the arcane flow." He draws a circle in the air with his finger. "So with your magic we should easily find our shapeshifter."

  "Well for now, its late." says Alexa poiting to the dark sky. "Lets find a motel and get a couple rooms, we need to get some rest."

  We walk through the city, the streets quiet and peaceful. We end up at a motel called The White Well. Alexa explained to me that there are businesses that serve as safe houses for the magical world.

   As we walk up to the office door a wave of magical energy pulses through me and the world around me seems to bend and shift. Suddenly it stops and I look around and nothing seems any different until I look up at the motels sign which now reads, "The Magic Well."

  "Wow what was that?" I stare at the sign in confusion and amazement.

  "We just passed though a magical illusion barrier, made to keep. Non-magicals from seeing anything out of the ordinary."

  We walk into the office and Alexa nods to a pale man, dressed in an all white suit. His eyes seems to glow with an inner luminance.

  "Alexa good to see you my friend." Say the pale man.

  "It good to see you to Illuscious."
She gives him a short bow. "Hows our mortal realm treating you?"

  "Its sufficient, its just not bright enough for me being the god of light and all." He looks to me. "And who might this dashing gentleman be."

  "My name is Alizar...G..G..Graves."
I studder my name as the knowledge of him being a god sinks in. "Its a pleasure to be in your pressence your greatness."

  "Don't belittle yourself by calling me your greatness." He looks at me with a very serious face. "You and I are equals, as we are both the children of Arcana."

  I just stand there shocked at what he just said. "Wait... What?"

  "I am a lesser god, the child of Arcana and Univeratos Titan of space." He points to me. "My mothers chosen, her earthly children have always been considered family, you may call me Illuscious.... No more your greatness okay, save that for mother."

  "Luci, can we get two rooms, one queen and one single." Alexa looks at me and I look back in confusion. I hold up three fingers on one hand and two on the other.

  "Anything for you, on the house too."

  "You dont have to do that, you know I have the money."

  "I know, but I always help my friends, even if they don't need it." He makes a couple keys appear out of a flash of light. "One queen, one single, have a fun night." He grins at me and Alexa's face turns bright red.

  "Come on Alizar, we gotta get some rest." We walk out of the office and she throws the single room key too Kid. "Get some sleep, and be ready when the sun rises."

  It finally dawns on me why she got only two rooms as she grabs my hand and leads me to the other room. She pushes me through the door and quickly closes it behind her. She pushes me into a chair and climbs in my lap with her legs pinning me in the chair.

  "I wanna know something." She says her stormy blue eyes staring deeply into mine. "Am I still your deepest desire?"

  "Alexa." My heart races in my chest ready to leap from it. "I've never desired anything more." I look to her short stature and perfectly formed hourglass figure and it sends heat shooting through my body.

  She leans in and kisses me and my heart nearly breaks through my chest. My hand slowly moves from the chair to her hips. Her body shivers as I slowly slide my hands from her hips to her long snow white hair. I wrap my fingers in her hair as I pull her deeper into the kiss.

  Alexa grabs my shirt and pulls from the kiss. "I've wanted you too... I have since the first time you told me how you felt." She pulls me from the chair, standing me to my feet and pulling me into her, kissing me again. Her hands run up my sides taking my shirt with it. Pulling from the kiss only long enough to pull it over my head throwing it to the ground.

  I move my mouth to her neck kissing her gently. Sliding my hand to her stomach and grabbing the front of her white blouse, I rip it open. The buttons scattering across the wooden floor in every direction.

  I take her into my arms and carry her to the bed laying her in front of me. I start kissing her neck again as she moan quietly, her body quivering instantly with my kisses. She roughly pushes me off her, her hand quickly moving to my belt pulling it free of my pants letting them fall to the ground, with my boxers following suit.

  My clothes have barely hit the ground as she slides her skirt off and pushes me on the bed climbing on top. Sliding me inside of her she whispers. "I love you Alizar.... Always have."

  I barely hear it but it makes my heart thump even harder in my chest. "I finally get to have my girl." I think to myself. "I'm loving this world already."
