Hyun Ryu: The Intro (pt. 2)

It's another day.. I have to go to work and I have rehearsals for a musical I'm taking part a few hours after my shift at Geumgaji ends. I look at my schedule over my phone as I get ready to go to work. As I got ready, my phone rings and Nim's name shows up on my screen. I answer the call, immediately hearing Nim kind of scolding me as if I was Seven.

"Uhh... Nim? It's me, Zen. Are you mad at Seven for something?" I say, kind of confused with why Nim is yelling at me.

Nim explains that he meant to call me but he was just kind of frustrated with Seven because he wasn't taking his new assignment seriously. Then he asks me if I was going to be going to work today.

(Haha of course I'm going to work! I'm sure the branch needs me there!)

     After I tell Nim that I will be working today, he tells me to hurry in because Geumgaji is holding a feast.

(A feast?! Ooooo! I'm gonna get to work as fast as I can!)

     As soon as I got to the TCo building, I quickly make my way to the elevators so that I can get to the good food before anyone else can get to it. Once I get to the floor of Geumgaji, I walk to the lounge where I see all my co workers eating. In addition to my co workers, I see a new face in the room.

(Who's this lovely lady?)

"Hi everyone!" I say as the new face of the group gives me a smile as she takes a bite of fried chicken,

     "Zen! We saved you a spot! Oh and we got you your first portion while you were gone." Yoosung says, pigging out.

     I sit in the only seat available which is next to the new girl. As soon as I took my seat, Nim asks me if I'm still single or not. I first look over to the new girl as she takes a selfie before taking another bite of her chicken. Then I bring my attention to Nim.

     "Um.. I'm still single. But is this really how you want the new girl to remember or know me? As the single handsome guy of the branch?" I say, kind of embarrassed,

     "It's okay Zen! You're not the only lonely one here! We're all lonely! Well, maybe Nim has a special someone. Who knows if he does?" Seven says with a mouthful of ramen.

     We all look look over to Nim as he eats his portion. He shoots a look of doom at Seven before turning his attention to the rest of us.

     "As Luciel said... We are all lonely. And yes, like you guys, I do not have a significant other." Nim almost clearly aims his words toward Seven,

     "Let's all be single and free together!" Yoosung exclaims,

     "Yeah! What do you say guys?" Augustus adds on.

     Everyone exchanges glances as this 'single and free' talk goes dead for a moment or two. One by one, everyone agrees to being single and free together. The last one to stand is the new girl.

      "Chaehee, what do you say? Are you down to be single and free with Geumgaji?"

     We all look over to the new girl as she smiles, raising a chicken wing in the air, and standing.

     "To being single and free!" She exclaims, raising her chicken wing higher into the air,

     "Single and free!!"

     Everyone says 'cheers!' with their pieces of fried chicken, eaten, not eaten, or bitten out of. After we all take our seats again, we finish all of the food that was bought to the feast, then get to working. As I was working in my office, I take a look at the office across from mine which I thought would still be empty. I see the new girl working in there with what looks like an Assistant who isn't Augustus working at the desk in front of her office.

(Who's working with her? And when did that guy get here?)

I look over to Chaehee as she tells the guy at the desk in front of her office something. The guy who apparently works with Gaeumgaji walks out of Geumgaji then comes back with a coffee in his hand. He goes into Chaehee's office, handing her the coffee he walked in with. Chaehee takes the coffee, getting back to work. I get back to work, not taking my mind off of this random guy who suddenly works with Chaehee. He seems like someone who would try to cause harm to Geumgaji's bright atmosphere.
