The Deep Sleep

Three was sleeping very deeply and it was already late morning for the Numberjacks.

Four: Three!! Wake up! It's morning already! 

Three was still asleep.

Five: Rise and shine Three, the sun is out!!

Three was still sleeping.

Six: She doesn't seem to be waking up. What if we had a mission and she doesn't hear the alarm? (Concerned) 

Three yawns and finally her eyes were opened.

Three: Oh, I just had such an amazing, long dream last night and I cannot even wake up. (Tiringly)

Six: But, you know what time is it now...

Five: It's nearly 11:30am! 

Four: We were all up at 7am! 

Three: Oh, sorry! I don't understand why I had such a huge dream! 

Six: Maybe it could be about something that happened. You seemed to be doing a lot of things lately. 

The alarm goes.

Six: Well, we need to go to the Control Room.

An agent calls in. 

Agent Ninety Nine: Agent Ninety Nine here, things are going wrong! 

Three: But, not for long (tiringly) 

Agent Ninety Nine: Ten children don't seem to be getting up and it's late morning. They are still sleeping in bed. 

Four: Putting it on screen... (hops to screen pad) 

Five: That's odd. I don't understand why they are still in bed at that time. 

Six: The Numberjacks are on their way! 

Agent Ninety Nine: Thanks!! 

Three laid back to sleep in her long dream. 

Four: Oh no! Three is back to sleep. 

Five: I think it could be the deep sleeps that are happening. 

Four laid back to sleep too. 

Six: Oh no! Not Four too! I guess it's down to us!! 

Five: I will go then.

Five heads to the Launcher. The launcher song is played.

Three and Four were laying on the Brain Gain machine.

Six: I know Four does this but if he has fallen into the sleep, it might as well be me. Checking the Room....it's clear! 

Five was about to be launched.

Six: Five, Four, Three, Two, One, Zero!

Five just landed.

Seven arrives to the Control Room.

Seven: Six! One and Two don't seem to be waking up. But, I will take Three and Four down, I think they are having the deep sleeps too. 

Six: Oh no! Five, One and Two are having a deep sleep too. 

Five: Oh!! But, we will sort it out later. 

Five saw the ten children fast asleep with ten concerned mums. 

Five: They don't seem to be getting up, I think the deep sleep is going on. 

An Agent rings in. 

Agent Sixteen: Agent Sixteen here, I can see a meanie. 

Spooky Spoon: Ha ha ha ha ha!! I have made all these children go to sleep!! 

Five: Spooky! How could you? (disgustedly) 

Spooky Spoon: But, I want such a peaceful day without any children chattering about. I was the one that made Three have a deep sleep and dream for a very long time, because she is such a chatter, chatterbox! 

Six: Oh no!!! So that is why Three was hard to wake up today. 

Spooky Spoon's song is played.

Spooky Spoon: I have made Four have a deep sleep, because he always have to control the screens in missions! 

Five: Spooky!!! That's terrible!! Now, how should I make the children wake up again? 

Six began to lay down falling asleep. 

Five: Six! Six! SIX!!! ARE YOU HERE? SOMEBODY HELP ME!! 

Spooky Spoon: Haha...Numberjack Five, the deep sleeps are passed to the ordinary sofa where you live! Numberjack Six is asleep now!!

Seven: Hello Five! I'm here to help! 

Five: Finally, Seven!! This is really awful!!! One, Two, Three, Four and Six are in a very deep sleep!! 

Seven: That's terrible! I heard it's really serious!! Maybe we need some help. Agents, any ideas?

Agent Ninety Nine: Hello, Agent Sixteen is fast asleep too!! We need Brain Gain to cure the the deep sleeps. 

Seven: Oh poor Agent Sixteen, but I got this!! 

Zero arrives. 

Seven: Hello Zero, good that you are not having the deep sleep. Why don't you watch the screens and I get the Brain Gain ready. 

The Brain Gain song is played. 

Seven jumps in. 

Seven: Cure the deep sleep, cure the deep sleep. (Chanting) 

Five used the Brain Gain and cured the children's deep sleep with success. Agent Sixteen was awake. 

Five: I did it! Now, how do we fix Spooky? 

Agent Ninety Nine: No!! The mums are beginning to sleep too. We need Brain Gain for that! 

Five: Oh dear!! Seven!!! What should we do? 

Seven: Oh no! Zero is fast asleep! We will do something about this later. I will send Brain Gain again. 

 Seven: Cure the deep sleeps and wake up the mums. (Chanting) 

Agents: Cure the deep sleeps and wake up the mums.... 

The Brain Gain was powering up and sent to Five. The deep sleep was cured and the mums woke up. 

One Mum: What happened? 

Another Mum: Did I have the deep sleep?

Seven: I have sent you some Brain Gain to put spooky in the deep sleep. 

Five got the Brain Gain to put spooky in a deep sleep, so she wouldn't cause any trouble. Five arrived back home.

Seven: Well done Five!

Five: It was hard, but glad everything is sorted. Now, how about the other Numbers? 

Five and Seven went down to the bedrooms. They both had the Brain Gain to wake the other Numberjacks up. They finally woke up with success.

Four: What happened?

Five: Spooky Spoon made you all get the deep sleep. But, Seven and I have sorted it out. 

Six: Oh Great! So sorry, that I only did half the mission. 

Three: I didn't even do it, I kept staying in my dream..

Seven: But, most importantly everyone is safe! 

All: Hooray!!!
