As the story goes. We all have a red wire that connects with us and our soulmate. Nobody can see it exevpt you and your significant other. Its the same for everybody. That is except for me.
I'm kayla Wilson, im 17 years old and i go to a wonderful school called Westway High school. I have black hair, and blue eyes, and many friends. However, they all love me like a family. Usually, they would ask me if i have my red line and I'd lie and say yeah. Being bullied wasn't part of my life at all. Sometimes I would wonder if a red wire was real at all. The others either found their soulmates, or still looking. They would wonder what they're soul mate would be like.
"Mine should be really strong and handsome" says one friend
"I wish for mine to be beautiful, and a loving person!" Says another
To me, I don't really care what my soulmate is like. As long as they're real, I could care less about looks.
"Kayla!" Owen shouts.
"Huh!" I zone back in and look towards him.
"Are you ok? You look tired." He asks concernly. I am honestly really tired from today. My friends Casey, and Owen are sleeping over for the weekend. We all have been friends since diapers, and promised to allways stay friends. We were sitting by the campfire doing stupid things.
"Oh yeah. Im a little tired. Haven't really slept well last night." I said. We all went inside and relaxed in my room. Casey was the first to fall asleep. Owen stayed up till 11. I was on my phone scrolling through instagram.
I was looking through all of the beautiful pictures of people with their soulmate, and started to think. "What if I never find my soulmate? What would happen" Tears started to form im my eyes. "Im just going to be alone forever."

I heard my phone ring and realized i had been crying. I went to the bathroom and cleaned my face up before looking at my phone. I turn on the sink and looked in the mirror for a second. "Im so ugly. No wonder why i don't have a red line. Nobody likes me anyway." I clean up my face and then head beck to the living room. I go to the place where i sleep and look at my phone to see i have 3 notifications of the wrong number.
