Leonus shouted at me, "are you trying to get killed?" before standing up and heaving me out of the mud. "Let's go" he said grabbing my wrist to pull me behind him. I cried out in pain and tried to yank my injured arm back, but his grip held fast and he pulled me foreword again. Gasping and forced to hold my pain inside, Leonus drug me behind him and into the tall building.
The lobby was just like a hotel. Chairs and sofas decorated it and a desk was positioned in the center. It didn't seem like a place where I'd be tortured, but who knew what lie beneath.
I didn't see much of the building as I was pulled quickly through it. My attention was mostly focused on my throbbing wrists and fading consciousness anyway. I couldn't understand why the darkness was closing in over the outskirts of my vision. I wasn't sick was I? Then again, if I wasn't sick what were the bruises from? Once again a certain thought crossed my mind; could I even live without half a soul? My last conscious thought left me scared to my very core.
