Dark Poem

Sometimes the voices in my head get to loud to handle.... I need to sleep for them to be silenced.... Indeed to be asleep and never wake up to the mourning song.

When I don't wish to be noticed, but that's when you notice me most... You see the pain, misery and hate in me on those days when all I really need is to be alone. You notice the cuts and blood dripping into my hand and onto the floor. When I wished to be noticed I am practically invisible to you. You never care unless it's life threatening or your guilt might be too much. Don't forget to look and ask if I'm doing okay and let me cry on your shoulder. I need an anchor, as mine has been cut off and sunken deeper than I am.  Don't look over the cliff at the sea when I fall. Run and look for me in the raging waters. Don't forget to watch out for me on our path, for I might fall and never bring myself to continue on.

Don't forget me when you walk away.
