They built an imax theater in my country and my mom was saying how since people like new things they'd go to it for the first month or so but after that the business will just be a waste of money. Since it's so expensive I highly doubt much people will go to it when they could just go to the regular movie theatre for half the price.
This was a bad idea.
Jungkook knew it was a bad idea with all his heart, but there was no other way.
"Irene Noona who are those men?" A younger Jungkook asked the older women.
Irene was the head mistress at the orphanage and was charged with staying in the home with the children. Keeping them washed and fed and making sure they do their studies.
She was a humble women in her late twenties. Kindly spirited she was always smiling that soft smile yet her face somehow kept that stoic appearance. Many were weary of crossing her path in fear of getting snapped at by her sharp temper.
She reached down and ruffled Jungkooks raven locks. "They are here for a meeting. They are interested in adopting Tae." She said
As soon as the words left her lips Jungkook was on high alert.
He hadn't been at the orphanage long. Having just moved there after his parents death, with no family to take him in, he didn't have many friends. Besides the single one he tried desperately to keep on the outside, Kim Taehyung was the only other child he conversed with.
Taehyung was younger than Jungkook. A short chubby boy with hair the complete opposite of Jungkooks tar black locks. The boy had white hair. As clean and crisp as freshly fallen snow.
There were two other boys who hung around Taehyung. Jin and Namjoon, but those two were weird so Jungkook didn't bother with them.
The strange pair of men were seated in the dining hall conversing silently between themselves.
One was rather tall with large ears and cotton candy hair while the other was short with a black mullet.
Jungkook leaned back from the door and glared at his noona "I don't like them."
Irene laughed "kookie you haven't even met them yet! This is a really good chance for Taehyung. Don't you want him to get adopted?"
Sure. It was Taes dream to have a family. Whatever made Tae happy made Jungkook happy. But these men gave him a bad vibes. Waves of an uneasy aura rolling off them and hitting him full force. He didn't like the way they whispered hush hush. The glint in their eyes as they surveyed their surroundings. It all just felt wrong.
"You don't know those men." Jungkook protested again. More frantic to prevent this meeting by the second. "What if they are bad"
Irene rolled her eyes " Jungkook they look decent. Can't you give them a chance?" She tried to reassure him but Jungkook wasn't having any of it.
"You can't judge a book by its cover." Was all he said before running off to find Taehyung.
Jungkook stumbled forward on the porch when Jiwoo punched him in the back of his head , freeing him from his trance.
He blinked once then twice. Baffled at having that memory resurface now.
"Ring the bell dipshit!" Jiwoo snapped "we don't have the rest of our lives to wait out here."
Jungkook glared at her for the joke but didn't retaliate. He reached out towards the bell, his large hands shaking. The bell was a small round marble button set in a golden plate. Resting right beneath a sign that announced which family lived in the home. He clammed up even more, swaying on his feet with nerves. Then there was a hand on the small of his back encouraging him to press it.
"What if he hates me?" A question he'd been avoiding asking himself for a while now.
Jiwoo shrugged removing her hand from his back when he pressed the bell.
She herself had been avoiding voicing something for a long time. She knew her mother probably hated her as well. She hadn't been home in months . If Hoseok wasn't reassuring her the women must have Been bent out of shape with worry over her only daughter. One who'd already died in her parents absence.
There was no 'probably' for Hoseok. She knew he hated her. Hated her for dying. Hated her for coming back and shaking their mothers world. Hated her for leaving him and not looking back, dragging Jungkook along with her.
He hated that she acted like the younger sibling.
"Sometimes " she whispered "you need to ask the tough questions no matter how much they hurt." She turned to Jungkook and gave his face a once over.
He was handsome.
Tall and leanly muscular. Skin a warm tan color that complemented his dark wavy hair. His eyes a deep piercing brown that crinkled when he smiled. A small smile that allowed his two square shaped teeth to show giving the soft appearance of a bunny.
She also wanted to ask this beautiful boy why he gave up so much just to follow her out into the world. Why he protected her when he had something precious at home that needed it more than she did. But even through the advice she gave she couldn't follow it herself. She didn't want to ask the boy who'd she'd fallen for so hard why he gave a shit about her, afraid of the answer. Everyone knew how Jungkook felt for Tae. Yet pretending she didn't was the easy way out.
"As time goes on the pain begins to lesson, but your pain is just beginning. This adventure isn't half way over."
Jungkook audibly gulped at her words. His own mouth opening to speak but the door opening cut him off.
A short silver haired boy stepped out with a bright smile on his face. His eyes forming crescents. Hand raised to greet the visitors. That was until he saw who they were.
Both Jiwoo and Jungkook froze at the boys appearance.
"You!"
"Park Jimin!"
Jimin and Jiwoo locked eyes in a killer gaze, fingers pointed at each other accusingly.
Though Jungkook was too distracted to focus. The white haired boy standing behind Jimin in the doorway captivating all of his attention.
"T-taehyung."
Ahah I'll admit that I could have written that way better but oh well! 👌🏽 I tried. Gg Ashanti gg.
