Love of an Angel

“It’s not you, it’s me”

“What do you mean?”

“I don’t deserve someone like you Angelique, I’m sorry”

“Are you breaking up with me?” she asked and I nod my head

“May iba na ba?” she asked and I just nodded

“Mahal mo ba siya?”

“Yes”

Then Angelique cried after hearing it. Ayaw kong saktan siya, pero alam kong mas masasaktan siya pag pinagpatuloy ko pa ito. She just lost my heart to Mayette. I don’t feel the same anymore, because my love towards her just faded and I need to end this.

“Alam ko naman eh, alam kong may iba na. Kasi nararamdaman ko, but hearing it directly from your mouth has another story. It doubled the pain and it hurts me more” sabi niya sa pagitan ng kaniyang iyak.

“I’m sorry Angel, sorry”

“Saan ako nagkulang Drew? Ano ang wala ako na nakita mo sa kanya?”

“Hindi ikaw ang nagkulang, ako. And I’m sorry for that”

Then she cried even harder and my guilt is killing me. Hindi ko inakalang ganito pala ito kahirap.

“Lend me your 7 days Drew” she said, and I stared at her with disbelief expression.

“No, I can’t”

“Drew naman!, isang linggo lang ang hinihingi ko para sa ilang buwan ng panloloko mo sa akin!!”

“Don’t make this harder Angel”

I can’t believe this, so I shook my head.

“Isang linggo lang Andreus, pagbigyan mo na ako, please”

I look at her. She looked like a person who helplessly cried for her life…. And with a deep sense of guilt, I agreed.

I decided not to tell Mayette about the one week agreement. I know that she’ll get mad once na malaman nya ito, and making her feel like that is the least thing that I’ll do. I just love Mayette so dearly…

Yesterday, as I agreed with her offer, Angel presented her rules and conditions:  First, we must pretend as real lovers; and second, we must recall the days when we were both in love in each other’s arm.  I thought she’d gone crazy, but to make this bearable for her, I accepted her conditions.

This is our first day, and I must do my role perfectly. I don’t want to make this hard for the both of us.

“Good morning Drew!” she cheerfully greeted, upon seeing me.

“Good morning” I greeted back

“Ahy, ba’t wala kang dalang flowers?”

“Do I still need to bring one?”

“Hmmp, huwg na nga lang”

SILENCE…

“Tara, nood tayo ng movie” she offered.

Nag movie marathon kami buong araw, kung tutuusin nga maliit lang naman na bagay ang gingawa namin, but she looks so happy and contented. Afterwards she asked me kung ano ang gusto kong kainin, but I told her not to bother. But being the same old Angel, she won’t let me get out of her house without feeding me.

She cooked my favorite chopsuey, and I smiled upon remembering na may pagka-health conscious siya. Palagi niyang sinisigurado na nakakain namin ang sapat na nutrisyon na kailangan ng aming katawan.
