It was the end of the day and Sonic planned to confess to Shadow they were gonna meet up at the lake as soon as they got out of school. Sonic was all ready planning what to say in his way there. "Hey Shadow I like you- no" the blue hedgehog shook his head "too straight forward" he sighed and continued to walk to the lake "maybe, hey Shadow, I've always had a crush on you" he groaned "no-no that won't work".
By the time he got to the lake Shadow was waiting by a tree "I'm sorry was I late?" Sonic asked worried "no, Sonic I'm early" Shadow replied "I always am" he chuckled.
"So what did you wanna meet up about?" Shadow asked Sonic inhaled and sighed "just wanted to hang out for a bit, maybe chat?" He replied "you know, just catch up?" Sonic looked down.
Shadow nodded "I know what you mean" he sat down and patted a seat next to him. "First I'd like to know, why have you stopped asking me to walk with you?" Sonic looked down "because of the akwardness of this morning" he shuddered. Shadow laughed nervously "yeah.."
(Time skip)
The two hedgehogs walked around the lake just chatting and laughing, they talked about random things and how things were going with Sonic and his parents. Soon they were on a bridge over the lake it was night time.
"The lake is very nice right?" Sonic asked looking at Shadow he nodded and looked up at the stars. He let out a small smile. They continued to walk and ended up on a hill. Sonic sat down and sighed he really wanted to tell Shadow how he felt. Shadow sat next to him "Soo... What was this morning all about?" Shadow asked, his muzzle a light pink.
"It's complicated" Sonic sighed "my siblings always are teasing me about things but um why they teased me about you is because I-" he stopped and kissed Shadow.
'am I really doing this?'
