Prologue - The Promise

Third Person's POV

A little girl with dark green curly hair hid behind a tree while panting heavily,exhausted after running away from her bully.

She was injured at every corner of her body. "Come out,Deku!" The angry blonde boy yelled,clenching his fists to frighten the girl he had been looking for.

The little girl,not wanting to give up,only stayed quiet and stayed hidden behind the tree. The ash blonde boy scowled in irritation and left the area.

Izuku sighed in relief. She came out from her hiding spot after Katsuki left. She looked around her. It was dark and raining heavily and it scared her. Where should she go at time like this?

She wanted to go home,but she couldn't see the road that lead to her home. Then where would she go?

Izuku's big,round emerald eyes became teary. She was alone in the park. She had no choice. She made a drastic action.

Izuku walked towards an abandoned building,the only place left for her to stay safe amd protected. The building was very old,looked like it would collapse anytime soon but Izuku didn't care. It was an abandoned mansion. Izuku gulped and walked into one of the rooms in this big mansion.

She found a bed. She got onto the rusty old bed and laid on it in exhaustion. Today was the most troublesome day in her life.

"Hey! What are you doing here?!" A boy's voice yelled,startling the little girl.

Izuku quickly got up and saw a boy,probably older than her since he was taller than her,standing at the corner of the bed and glared deadly at her.

Izuku flinched back. Her body trembled in fear. "Please...don't hurt me..." She begged. Tears trickled on her freckled cheeks.

The boy stared at the crying girl in silent. He suddenly felt guilty. He slowly approached Izuku.

"Hey,don't cry,okay? I won't hurt you..." He whispered gently into her ear. He carefully embraced her shoulders and brought her body closer to himself. He patted her brocolli head.

Izuku was surprised by his gentle attitude and his soft voice. She hugged him back in responds. She cried louder in the hugs.

"Why are you here?" The boy asked for the second time. Izuku hiccuped. "Kacchan wanted to hurt me so I ran away." She said between sobs.

The sadness in her eyes really hurt the boy. He rubbed her back. "Don't worry,he won't come here to hurt you anymore,okay?" He comforted her. Izuku's eyes shone in pure happiness. The innocent girl stared at the boy.

"Onii-chan...what's your name?" Izuku asked him in curiosirty. "Tenko..." He muttered.

"Then,Tenko-nii!" Izuku had decided a nickname for Tenko. "I'm Izuku!" Izuku reached out her hands to shake hands with him but Tenko only stared at her hands.

Izuku thought he didn't know what shaking hands was so she went to touch his hands. But Tenko suddenly slapped her hands harshly,causing, Izuku to cry in pain.

"Don't touch me!" He hollered at the innocent girl. The anger in his heart quickly faded away and was replaced with guilty as he saw her sobbing.

"Sorry...I'm sorry..." Izuku muttered under her breath. Tenko bit his lips out of habits. He suddenly got an idea.

"Um,can I call you...Icchan?" Tenko said and scratched his head awkwardly.

The girl lifted her head up and gazed into his piercing crimson eyes. She suddenly cried back,confusing Tenko.
