Part 1

"Flight D3014 to Charlotte North Carolina will be delayed for approximately 2 hours." Announced the lady over the intercom at the Dallas airport.

Joy.... 2 more hours stuck at the airport. You actually liked airports, but your mom had booked the flight coming in from Cancun 3 hours before your flight to NC to make sure you didn't miss it. So after being there for 3 hours, soon to be 5 by the time you actually boarded the plane, you had even more time to kill. So you went on your phone for a while and texted some friends and scrolled through Instagram for like 30 minutes, then you started to get hungry.

"Mom, I'm hungry. Can I head over to the food court and get something to eat?" You asked.

"Sure. Just take your phone with you and don't be too long, okay?" Your mom responded.

"Yep, be right back." You replied to your mom flashing her a smile and standing up quickly.

You had seen that the line for dominos was starting to get long from where you were seated at the gate. So you headed over quickly. You waited in line for about five minutes. And then , finally the glorious time had come. It was your turn to order.🍕

"Hello welcome to dominos. can I take your order?" Said the man behind the counter

"Yep, I'll have a medium pepperoni pizza and a medium Mountain Dew please."

"Anything else?"

"Nope."

"That'll be 11.64 please."

You handed him the money and left a tip the pizza would be ready in 15 minutes so you texted your mom telling her you'd just wait there. After being ars agoon your phone for about 5 minutes you heard a familiar voice. You looked up to see who it was.

Oh. Yay... It was that kid hayes from school. He wasn't really mean but he was just kind of a showoff, just like the other jocks at school. He was always seemed so cocky....

After paying he turned and you made eye contact for a split second and you were the first to look away. His eyes were really pretty. You just ignored the thought and went back to your phone, when out of the corner of your eye you see him start towards you. You suddenly get nervous but you're not sure why. He pulls out the chair in front of you and sits down.

"You're (name similar to yours) right, we go to school together." He says.

You roll your eyes and turn off your phone and set it down on the table. Suddenly mad, though usually when you saw people from school somewhere out of school you got all nervous and tense.

"No it's y/n actually and yeah, we do go to school together." You say, though it comes out a little harsher than you meant it to.

"Sorry... It's just I've seen you around, I just hadn't gotten your name" he says shyly.

You give him a small smile and say "it's okay."

"So..... Where did you come in from?" He asks trying to make conversation

"Cancun" you say

"Cool, I went there like 2 years ago" he replies

"Yeah, it's really beautiful." you say "are you flying back home now?" You ask

"Yeah, sucks that my flight is delayed" he says annoyed

"I guess we'll be on the same one then," you reply

He smiles and you guys continue with your conversation until your phone buzzes, shaking against the table.
