Chapter 1 - Explaining and Capture

(Shadow POV) 

I often wondered what my purpose on earth is who put me here why did there put me here and when I say often I mean every day for a thousand odd years you see I have been on this earth for as long as I can remember and let me tell you the human race has not been my favourite thing to live on this earth now I want to like the humans but I can't because every time I go near one of them there attack or run away from me 

because of my appearance you see I look like a human except for the fact that I have black wings they are really beautiful and I guess another reason why humans run from me is because I have powers I can control the elements and can speak to animals.

One of my main reasons for not liking humans is because there have on occasion captured me and while I was captured they tortured me and used me for science experiments it was not fun and that was only in the first few hundred years in my life from then on I have lived away from humans I live anywhere I want ranging from mountains to big open spaces 

I never stay in one place for long I'm always on the move trying to avoid the humans for as long as I can but once every year I fly down to the nearest town or city preferably a small town and I get things I am in dire need of new stuff like clothes food a shower it depends

If the only place I can go is a city I have this spell that can remove my wings for 3 hours and 3 hours only but for a reason I don't know it take 3 days before I can do the spell again which I'm cool with since I don't used that spell often So now you know pretty much everything about me

Currently I am soaring through the night sky looking at the beautiful dark blue and violet night sky with white shiny stars and the big bight moon full moon to be precise I don't understand why the humans don't stare at the night sky more

I sighed happily as I looked down and saw that I was flying over a forest but soon that ended and a river and at one side of the river there were lights and buildings it looks like a city well I know where I'm going tomorrow I need some new clothes I flew up really high and looked over the big city it was quite big

I saw the highway the led into the city and I decided to find the name of the city so I pulled my wings in and nose-dived down to the ground and just as I passed the tree top I snapped my wings open and glided to the ground landing behind the trees and slowing walked out from behind the tree to read the sign which had in big letters 

'welcome to Gotham the home of batman' who the hell is Batman oh well I will find out later tomorrow I thought as I jumped into the air and started to fly back over the city as I was flying I heard a sound and before I knew it a net was wrapped around me and I was plummeting to the ground

I quickly started to get a fire ball ready so I could blast my way out of the net but as I grabbed the net with my hand that had fire on it I realized that this net was not made of rope but metal "YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME" I yelled as I looked down at the water that was coming up fast I closed my eye bracing for the impact and pain now if I was a human I would die from a drop from this far up but if you can tell I'm immortal but I can still feel pain and bleed not fun

All of a sudden, the net jolted back up and down like it was attached to a bungee cord this caused me to look up and I was right sort of the net was connected to a chain that was also connected to a helicopter I think yeah planes are bigger than this I let out a sigh of relief when I saw I was being lifted up closer to the helicopter even though I didn't want to meet the humans who did this to me

Any way I was pretty much at the helicopter it started to move over the city I let out a sigh at least I get to feel the wind on my face before I'm locked in a cage I loved to fly it made me feel free even more than I already was but now I don't think I get to fly anymore so
