Ricky's Gasoline Part 1

The pain consumed my body as I tried to figure out how this happened.

From what I could see, we were in a ditch. Maurice must've fell asleep or lost control.

I felt around my lap and didn't feel my baby and I didn't have any cuts or broken bones so the blood wasn't mine...I need to know that my baby is alive.

"Maurice baby can you hear me?! Wake up please wake up!"

Nothing

Panic flooded my heart as I began to think the worst.

I felt his neck and there was a slight pulse... thank god.

Just then the smell of gas interrupted my peace. I need to figure out how to get out of this car

Moving the airbag out of the way I noticed that the windshield was busted out. Maybe I can fit thru there then find my phone

I slowly lifted up and made my way out and onto the hood of the car. I ran around to my door and tried to pry it open but it was no use.

I crawled back in and managed to get in the backseat and find my phone. I dialed 911 as fast as I could.... I didn't have much time.

"911 what is your emergency"

"Me my boyfriend and our child just got into an accident and i can't find my child and I don't know how to get him out! I smell gas !

"Okay ma'am what's your location?"

Shit, I didn't know where I was but before I fell asleep I remember us turning on a Route 89 so maybe we were still on that.

"We we're headed towards Macon and coming from The Georgia State Penitentiary think we are on Route 89...wait I see a ... ," I ran to the street and squinted my eyes to see if there was any landmark around us. There was an old gas station down the road.. "Ricky's Gasoline. Can you find that?"

After a brief moment of typing she pulled up our location. "Ok ma'am we have your location, if you can, try to get all people in the vehicle out and away from the car. I have already sent a fire team and police your way".

"Thank you so much" I hung up quickly and headed to Maurice's side of the car. Surprisingly his door could open. "Baby...Maurice. You gotta wake up for me baby please." I sat him up and kissed on his face. I can't carry him out by myself.

I opened my eyes slowly as I heard someone calling my name. What happened? Why was I in pain? What's going on?

"What?" I was out of it

"Baby you gotta get out the car come on!"

My chest hurt and blood dripped from my head. I was losing consciousness again "I can't....really move..."

Some glass was stuck in my right leg so it was no good.

"No baby no come on. I'm here you got this. You gotta help me get you out this car! There's gas baby! Please try!"

"Ok...imma...push out and .....you just pull." My eyes rolled to the back of my head as my head began to feel heavy.

I had to fight to stay awake or I would die and i can't leave my family and kids behind.

"Come on baby you gotta stay with me!"

One of my legs was pinned to the side of the gear shift console but I could move the other. I pushed with what little strength I had in me and pushed off the arm rest with my other arm. Brook pulled me with all her might.

I began to move.

"We almost got you come on come on!"

I continued to push and wiggle until i got my other leg free. I finally I fell onto the warm grass. "Where's ...the baby". I faintly muttered as I began to doze.

"I have to find her. Try to crawl to that tree so you can get away from the car. "

I gripped onto the grass beneath me and slowly crawled to a tree that was far enough away while still trying not to further damage my leg.

I was thankful me and her were alive...but where was the baby?

I went back to my side as the gas smell grew stronger. I just needed to find Amauri. I needed to find my baby.

I crawled in the way I came out and looked to find where the rest of the blood was coming from ...under the seat I felt a puddle. No

If this was all my babies blood...she has to be gone.
