Bailey and Tahani watched as their other best friends, Sean and Kaycee, get into a pillow fight. It's Friday night and they all decided to have a mini sleepover at Sean's.
"Run for your dear life, missy!" Sean pounded his chest before grabbing a pillow and running to catch Kaycee. It didn't took him a hard time, of course, his long strides were nothing compared to her's.
He threw away the pillow and grabbed her from behind, which made Kaycee squeal.
"Sean!" Kaycee giggled as she slapped his hands, trying to free herself from his grip but Sean just laughed, tightening it.
Bailey and Tahani looked at each other and communicated through their eyes. There's no any need to speak at all, already knowing what each other was thinking. They both shook their heads, trying to suppress their laughs as they took a sip of their teas.
From a stranger's perspective, seeing Sean and Kaycee right now would make him think that the two are dating, well, that's what most people think unless you're like Bailey and Tahani - who are best friends with them, you would know better.
Sean and Kaycee are just "friends" - at least that's what they always tell people, but actions speak louder than words and clearly, their actions are contradicting it.
"Sean– ! Oh my god," Kaycee's eyes widened as she accidentally hit Sean in the face with her elbow.
Bailey stood up from her seat but Tahani held up a hand, shaking her head.
"Watch," she mouthed.
Sean was kneeling down on the floor, covering his face with his hands while Kaycee murmur her sorrys and "Are you okay?" Worry was written all over her face but it was quickly replaced with surprise when Sean suddenly laughed.
"Gotcha!"
Kaycee gaped at him. "I can't believe you!"
She stood up and grabbed the nearest pillow and started hitting Sean - who was laying on the floor, clutching his stomach as he laughed still.
Tahani gave Bailey a look and the latter nodded, smirking.
Just then, Sarah - Sean's oldest sister, walked in and saw the scene in front of her. She took out her phone and snapped a photo of them before turning to Bailey and Tahani who also did the same.
"Are they dating yet?" Sarah asked in a whisper.
"Um, no," Tahani shook his head "still friends."
"Still friends." Bailey repeated.
"Hmm, you sure?" Sarah raised an eyebrow.
"Um, no," Tahani said truthfully. "Probably somewhere in between friends and lovers."
Sarah smiled cheekily and nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, probably somewhere in between."
