Lights flickered repeatedly in the room, leaving everything black and grey coloured. A small boy bounced in the tiny room in pure joy, a smile written on his face.

He heard a gentle echo knock on his door.

The atmosphere had gone cold as he shakily grabbed the doorknob with his sweaty hands. He saw his father tower him at the door with a gloomy expression, pushing him aside as he walked in.

The boy closed the door shut and sat next to his father on the creaking bed. They stared at each other, as if they understood each other without the mouthing of their words. The man lifted his arm and landed it on the boy's shoulder gently.

The youngster smiled brightly, as if the room was filled with colours. His father stood up and walked out the door, as if they had not seen each other at all. The child looked underneath the sheets, pulling out the bright coloured costume he dreamed of wearing for this day.

He pulled up the long spandex and gloves and patted the dusty suit. Smiling proudly and closing the door loudly, earning a loud angered cry from next door, he awkwardly walked down the stairs. When reaching the end of the stairs, he sprinted to the old grandfather clock. In sweat, he went into the Cave and stared at the crimson blood flowing down the ceiling.

He widened his mouth and made a sound which echoed repeatedly, scaring him slightly. There were hands placed on his shoulders so sudden, he felt himself shiver but calm down, knowing the familiar.

"K-knight?" The boy called out cautiously. He was welcomed with warm arms, tightening around his small body. He tried to get out of the hold, to be met with laughs. "Tim! Stop laughing at me!" The boy cried out, blushing red. 'This is so embarrassing'

"I can't help it. We have security cameras everywhere, so when we thought about you trying to imagine yourself in a scary horror show, we had to try this .." Tim had a big smile on his face as he covered his mouth with one of his gloved hand. The small boy glared at his smiling older brother, trying to fight the urge to strangle. They stayed at their positions for a few seconds and the boy was released out of the 'cage'.

The boy looked about the cave trying to pinpoint the bear hugger which he called his brother. "Where are you!" He screamed childishly at the air surrounding him. He saw Timothy not far from him, waving with a smirk. He was getting ready to run and punch his smiling enemy, when suddenly he was lifted up from the ground.

He was lifted upside down, like a bat, by non other than his other brother, Jason. With the grim face he held, he made baby grabby hands to choke his older sibling. "Keep it down next time!" He was dropped from the hold by Jason. He felt like he was in an action movie scenario, nearly falling and hitting his head. This was avoided by his eldest brother, Damian, who wore a pleasant expression.

It wasn't going to last long, as he was brought back to his feet and heard the yells from Damian at Jason. He tried to walk away when he felt pulled back by a strong tug on his cape by his second eldest. "Where do you think you're going, Dick?", the boy identified as Dick, held his hands up in surrender as Tim spoke. "What do you think?"

Timothy smirked and opened his mouth to counter with a smartass comment, when a gloomy figure stood in front of them with a confused look. "What are you four doing?" Damian was about to speak when the figure interrupted. "You four should know not to argue about petty things like this, you all should be together as one. After all, you are brothers by blood."
