Camila chewed her lower lip looking out of the window of Shawns car. This neighborhood held so many memories, it was overwhelming thinking of them. Things have changed. Majorly. It was sad, why did things have to change. Why did life have to change? Everything she thought was forever. Family. It didn't feel like forever. Nothing is forever. Knowing that really, really hurt.

She felt Shawns hand lightly  brush her thigh, the muscles in her leg tensed up and she whipped her head to Shawn, she never usually reacted to his touch that way, it was weird. Shawn looked shocked almost. "Hey.." he furrowed his eyebrows. "Are you okay?"

She licked her lip nodding slowly, after realizing it had been the hand of her boyfriend who startled her, her cheeks warmed up. God she was a mess. "Yeah.. sorry." She said softly.

Shawn eyed her. "What's on your mind, babe?"

The knot in her stomach grew worse as she imagined herself explaining her feelings. She sighed before shrugging. She didn't know why she were so nervous. Well, she did but- it wasn't a good reason. Her parents aren't terrible people, they love her and care for her. Yeah she left them for a boy. But wouldn't they be happy for her and accept her?

She still has a gut feeling it won't be that way. She were nervous. So nervous.  How would they react to seeing her? Would they show her love. Would they turn from her?

"I'm just.." She looked down playing with her hands. Shawns hand grabbed hers, a bit of relief washed over her, she looked up at him. "Nervous." She added.

He nodded. "That's okay, I would be too."

She sighed. "I don't know."

"Want me to go inside?" He asked the question, a smile pulling on his lips.

She looked at him, before they both began laughing. "Oh yeah." She said sarcastically. "Let's go on a double date while we're at it."

Shawn chuckled cupping her face and taking her lips. "Goof." He smiled. "Get in there, Cabello."

She sucked in a breath. "Here goes nothin'." She opened the door stepping out, the cold air bit at her skin. Walking up the porch, she felt the need to knock. Words can't even describe how weird and awkward she felt. She grabbed the door knob, twisting it open.

She stepped inside, the smell of lavender filled the house, so many memories came with this smell. She closed her eyes. She missed the happy memories that had been made here. Now everything was different. It felt like she was a stranger in this place. She slowly made her way to the stairs.

"Hello, Karla." Her fathers voice made chills crawl up her back.

She turned seeing her dad walk out of their room. "Hi daddy.." she felt herself want to cry. To see him, after so long.. he didn't look any different. She wanted to hug him.

Lord, things were so different. It almost hurt her stomach thinking about it.

"What are doing here? Boyfriend gave up?" He stepped a little closer.

What an asshole. Who is this man.

She shook her head. "No.." god how much she wanted to slap/hug him. He was being rude but this is her dad. Her protecter. He picked her up and wiped her tears. He made her laugh doing funny expressions. Where's that man?

"Why are you here? You made it obvious family isn't important-"

"Stop this." She turned walking up the stairs. "I'm not here for you to take stabs at me." She got up the stairs holding back her tears. She looked to the right. "Sofi.." she whispered. Continuing to her little sisters room she knocked softly.
