A/N:
So according to Wikipedia, it's Jameson's birthday today. Therefore I felt like writing a short story about what he'd do.
This story won't affect the main plot of Ego University, its just a fun little side story.
Enjoy!

-- 3rd Person --

Jameson Jackson was busy minding his own, sitting on the sofa and reading a book. Yes he was fully aware of what day it was, he just didn't have the heart to tell everyone that it was, in fact, his birthday. Mostly because if they had forgotten it would break his friend's hearts and he wasn't going to allow that. Besides, most of the egos had left the house to go do their own things and had mostly ignored him. Even Wilford hadn't shown up since earlier that morning.

It was now exactly ten to twelve and finally, the front door opened and Wilford stepped inside.

"Jamie," He called, snapping his suspenders in a cheerful manner, "Stop sulking and come with me."

Jameson raised an eyebrow, noticing the car keys held in Wilford's hand. Wilford grinned wickedly as the mute got up and followed him outside.

"You stole Mark's car?" Jameson mouthed as he saw the vehicle parked in their housing's parking area. Wilford shrugged and hopped in the driver's side,

"Only for today, now get in."

The two drove for about an hour before Wilford finally explained to a slightly worried Jameson where they were headed.

"Right. So most of it's a surprise but-" Wilford stopped and peered at a sign further down the road, "Never mind, we're here."

The car pulled into a small, grassy car park, the sign at the entrance read,

Welcome to The Magician's Carnival

"This is where Marvin works." Jameson mouthed in awe. He'd always wanted to see where his magician brother worked but had never had the time to visit

"Yup!" Wilford agreed, parking the car and jumping out. Jameson followed with slightly less craziness but the same enthusiasm. Wilford grabbed the mute's arm and dragged him towards the large entrance gate.

The carnival itself was the biggest Jameson had ever seen, a large semi-circle of tents and stalls with a stage as the capstone. The stage's red curtains were down but a large notice next to it informed the pair that the next performance would be in twenty minutes.

As Jameson looked around, he felt his stomach growl with hunger and he groaned. Wilford noticed almost immediately and disappeared. After a few seconds Jameson noticed his absence and started to panic before spotting the pink-mustached man ordering something at a food stall. Another few minutes and he was back, holding two hotdogs.

"Warping isn't blending in Wil." Jameson reminded him, gratefully accepting the food. Wilford just laughed,

"Well that won't do. But we don't fit in anyway."

"Fair point."

The two lapsed into silence, each munching on their hot dog and taking in the sounds of the carnival.

Time Skip as they eat

Once the pair had finished their food, Jameson insisted on browsing the activity stalls whilst they waited for the performance to start. Most of the stalls were uninteresting or too advanced for the two men used to 1920's style. Eventually, Wilford found a coconut shy and challenged Jameson to a game.

Unfortunately, before a clear winner could be decided, the loudspeakers announced that the performance was to start in two minutes.

Excited to see his brother perform at last, Jameson hurried over to the stage and bounced on the balls of his feet in anticipation.

"I've never seen Marv perform properly before." He explained to Wilford after being asked why he was so excited. Wilford grinned and motioned to the stage where the curtains were being lifted, green smoke billowing out from under them.

From out of the smoke stepped Marvin the Magnificent. He was dressed in a simple blue T-shirt and black jeans with a long black cape and signature kitty mask.

"Hello everyone!" He smiled, "Today I will be showing off some new tricks for your amusement."

Jameson cheered and clapped with the rest of the audience as Marvin completed his tricks. Many ooh's and ahh's were heard, all of which Marvin responded to with a curt bow.

And then finally, Marvin set down his wand and snapped his fingers, the props disappearing in a puff of smoke. Now everyone was quiet, waiting for the next part.

"So sadly, that is the end of my performance." Marvin announced, the audience groaned, "But! Today is my little brother's birthday. So could we all sing him a happy birthday?"

The crowd cheered and started singing, Jameson's face getting redder with every line. He looked nervously over at Wilford, who was now on the stage with Marvin. Both magician and journalist shot him a kind smile as the song ended and everyone clapped.

"Happy Birthday ya little scamp."

A/N

I hope you enjoyed this little piece. It probably isn't as good as the other stories I write but I think it'll do for now. So Happy Birthday Jameson and Happy Halloween to everyone else!

Also, I can only ever find Jack's ego's birthdays. I'd rather like to know the birthday's of Mark's egos if anyone knows.
