Writing the word 'Vocaloid' on the scroll might have been the stupidest thing to do in the eyes of an otaku. But for me, it was one way to make the 'system' of this world go mad.
And I wasn't disappointed.
Instead of being in a world with a teal-haired girl in pigtails, blonde twins and a woman whose hair is bubblegum pink, I was very bluntly dropped-- followed shortly by Kyriun who fell on his face-- in front of a group wearing hoodies in spite of the summer's heat.
Yes, you got that right. Hoodies in summer.
Welcome to Mekaku City Actors.
Oh well, hello snake-eyed peeps. Wee. "U-um... hi," I stuttered as I picked myself off the floor. I realized that I landed inside their 'hideout', which means that I am now a member of their gang (including the guy here beside me) because I saw it. And, needless to say, since I've watched Mekaku City Actors, I know of their eye powers. PUTTING THAT ASIDE!! Where is my loves, Kano Shuuya--
"Welcome to the Mekakushi-dan, newbies," greeted a short blond boy with cat-like eyes and a huge grin. Okay, Riku, breaaaathe. Breaaaathe. Ehem! Heads up! This is the Shuuya Kano! The one and only!!! Breathe, my lungs. Breathe. Calm down my heart, calm. Quit rage mode my hormones, quiiit. Right then and there I wanted to scream 'EmergedIt'sShuuyaKanoSayingWelcomeToMeOMEGESH--' but let's keep the fangirl it its cage, alright? I sighed. "Newbie?"
Kyriun, who was in a sitting position beside me, looked up at the people like a deer looking at headlights. Maybe he just can't take the awesomeness that is the Gang.
Kido took a step forward and said, "How did you end up here? Do you have red eyes like us?" Okay. Wow. Super straightforward danchou FTW!!!
Seto put a hand on Kido's shoulder and said, "Ma, ma, she might have. I mean, nobody pops out of nowhere without powers. Example given, you."
"Sh-shut up!"
Kano offered his hand to me so I could stand up. I took his hand immediately and he pulled me up from the floor. I swear, I will never let anyone touch this hand again.
I looked at Kyriun and noticed that he was kinda giving Shintaro's phone a long look. He's probably wondering why the guy in the red and white jacket kept talking to it.
"Well, let's give the new ones a big welcome, shall we?" Momo announced. Marry came inside holding a tray of tea and said, "I-I have some tea."
Hibiya stood up from one of the couches and took a cup for himself, while all the others took theirs when Marry had set it down on the table. Kano took two-- turns out the other one is mine. Emegesh. Such sweet moves I can't even--
This will be a very long day indeed."You look like you had fun," Kyriun said as we made our way down the streets to pass the time for the scroll's arrival.
"Well, of course," I answered with a huge grin. The reason behind my happiness? The hoodie I'm wearing right now. Kano gave it to me :3 Let's make it last while I'm in tralala anime world, okie? "I had fun."
"But not with me."
"You possessive derp."
"Why? I want to see you smile only because of me."
I'll make you happy, and you'll be because of me.
"Flashback."
"Huh?"
I looked around to check whether the scroll was prowling around, waiting to pop out when I'm about to drop the bomb. "Ikeepseeingmemoriesofyou."
"What?"
"Memories. Of. You."
"Me?"
The intense light prevented me to say more. Aw yay. He had heard. And I bet the 'system' behind this anime world is so mad. I noticed Kyriun's lingering glance on me before he looked at the scroll. "Let's go."
I winced a little from the sudden distortion in his voice. He sounded like a mechanical machine losing signal. He seemed to glow, too. "K-Kyriun?"
"Let's go." Why would he repeat that? "Let's go."
"What's wrong?"
Suddenly the bright light grew and he was being enveloped by it. "Let's go, let's go, let's go--"
"KYRIUN!" I shouted, but he didn't stop. His fingers appeared pixelated, which scared me. His voice grew even more unclear and he reached out to me with a hand that was gradually fading away. I covered my ears from the otherwise creepy sight and backed away in the darkness. I found myself in a void darker than the sight I see whenever I close my eyes.
Another distorted 'let's go' rang in the air, and I hugged myself as if the mere motion would shield me from the creature that wasn't really Kyriun.
