One night while I slept in my apartment I awoke to several windows shattering. I stood up and teleported Minnie and my belongings to my car immediately and waited to see what was coming. After a moment I was surrounded by vampires. There were hundreds of them crowding the entire apartment. I made sure that the windows were cracked in my car for Minnie and that she had plenty of food and water, fearing this would be the end because I can't teleport myself, only other things.

I tried teleporting the vampires away but they had magical protection that prevented that type of magic from affecting them. I pulled my magical power to the front of my mind and prepared for a fight. Suddenly a beautiful man walked up to me from behind the other vampires and smiled at me kindly while looking me up and down like a piece of meat. I glared at him and asked "What do you want? I haven't done anything to you and only want to live in peace. Between you and the wolves I can't stay anywhere for long! You both have made my life a living hell in your own ways."

He smiled such a beautiful smile. He had sky blue eyes that had a hint of grey in them. He had sandy blonde hair and stood taller than me which combined with his other physical traits made him extremely attractive to me. While I was looking him over thoroughly, which he noticed, I saw movement behind him and then saw a vampire carrying Minnie. Panic took over and tears started falling down my face. I tried teleporting her away again but they had put a new dog tag on her that must have been preventing me from succeeding. I yelled in a booming voice that shook the walls "GIVE HER BACK TO ME NOW!"

At that moment wind was blowing hard through the entire room and what looked like lightning bolts were crackling off of my body. My eyes were burning brighter than ever with their teal light and I was ready to go to war now. I spoke again "If you want me to join the wolves and destroy every last vampire on earth you go ahead and harm a single hair on her body!"

The lead man smiled and took Minnie from the other vampire. He started petting her completely unaffected by my threats and my clear show of power but the other vampires were obviously afraid. The man continued his warm smile and said "Allow me to introduce myself, I am Stephan, King of the vampires. I came myself because I heard you were not only very powerful but incredibly handsome. I thought I might invite you out for dinner or a drink. We have at least one thing in common according to your friend Edith...we're both gay and neither has found our soul mates."

I was shocked by his statements and couldn't believe my own ears. He seemed so far out of my league that I didn't expect that in a million years. He did look physically like he was at most 21 years old but he was obviously much, much older if he was their king. I replied "You just want my power at your disposal, not me. I have learned not to trust anyone, especially handsome men who seem too good to be true by their words. Besides you're holding my dog hostage right in front of me, is this your form of blackmail to be able to force my hand?"

Stephan maintained his smile and sat Minnie down on the floor who ran over to me wagging her tail. I knelt down and picked her up without lowering my guard at all. He smiled brighter and said "I only thought leaving her in a locked car when it is possible the werewolves will be here any time now would be asking for them to hurt her. As far as the soldiers here, they are here for my and your protection in case the wolves attack before you are able to get to safety. Your car is already en route to one of our safe houses."

I was a bit annoyed and stated "You stole my car and all of my belongings including my clothes. So I'm left with nothing but my pajamas, no wallet, money or belongings. I'm left with no real options at this point." I felt utterly defeated at this moment. I hugged Minnie tightly and kissed her head and whispered "Sorry Minnie I failed us both."
