The party ended good. Not that big of a mess and no vomit to clean up. By 2 p.m. everyone was gone. Brett was still sleeping and by the night that he had with Melissa I was just gunna let him sleep and clean up the mess myself.
By the time I was done it was 5 p.m. and Brett was laying on the couch making noise because he was in so much pain.
"I told you not to drink that much. You always regret it."
"I had to go of with a bang. My little sister is all grown up." I just laughed at him. I wonder if I should tell him about Brad? Eh I'll wait, no need to worry him if things don't work out.
I here some move around up stairs.
"I thought everyone was gone?" I looked at Brett for him to go up there but he just kept groaning which meant he wasn't moving. I walked up stairs with caution. I had checked all the rooms; clearly not good enough. I grabbed an empty beer bottle that was closed to me and started towards the noise. I slowly opened the door and almost hit someone in the head but the ducked down just in time to hit the door and not their face.
"What the fuck!?"
"Oh my god I'm so sorry!" I bent down to pick up the glass not even seeing who it was. Then I herd snickering when I looked up it was him. Brad.
"What are you still doing here? I thought I cleared everyone out?"
"Some how I ended up in the closet. Not a very comfortable place mind you, but do you have any pain killers? My head is killing." I showed him where the medicine cabinet was in the bathroom. I went to get a glass of orange juice but the door was shut in my face.
"Um am I not aloud to leave?" His face was blank but it was as if his eyes turned a shade darker.
"Jess I was serious about last night. Though I don't know if we should tell.." I placed my finger against his lips to quiet him.
"My brother, I know. I already argued with myself about it." He slid his arm around my waist to pull me closer. Our lips almost touching, "What do we do then?" I knew what the answer would be 'Maybe we should just not take the risk.' Even though I barely knew him I could feel my heart breaking. I had dropped my head so I didn't have to look at him. Know what I wanted but couldn't have. He gently stroked a piece of hair that had fallen out of my ponytail and tucked it behind my ear.
"I'm willing to take the risk if you are." and with that he kissed me. Not a forceful one, but a sweet one that made my heart rate go up.
When I got home the rents weren't home but left us a note saying they wouldn't be home till late.
"I'm going to bed Jess. Don't wake me up for anything or so help me. Night." And he was gone.
"That was gunna be easier then I though." Just then the door bell was going off.
"Jess make it shut up!" I could hear my brother yell from upstairs.
"Shut up and go to bed." When I heard that it was quiet up stairs I answered the door, come to find out it was Brad with a hand full of flowers.
You know him as your brothers friend and he comes off as a player and now that he had taken an interest in me he's all sweet? What do you believe?
"Are you going to invite me in?" I was so lost in my thoughts that I forgot that Brad was at my door.
"Um no I'm not but I will take those flowers and be right back so we can leave." with that I shut the door in his face ran upstairs to get my things before my brother woke up or something.
When I got to the door Brad was talking away and seemed pissed.
"Brad wait.."
"You know if you didn't want to go out all you had to do was say it to me instead of take the flowers and slamming the door in my face! You know-" I ran an jumped into his arm cutting him off with a kiss. A kiss that I have been wanting since the last one ended.
He pulled away, "Well all you had to do was say baby." I couldn't help but laugh and push him.
"I'm sorry Brett just laid down and I know if he heard you in the house he would get up and want you to stay and I don't want that."
"And why not?" him and his little snickers. He's so cute!!
"Because I wanted you for myself is that alright?" we were at the passenger side door he was opening it up for me. I didn't realize that I put my head down till his fingers were under my chin trying to to me to look at him. He leaned in just brushing his lips agains mine teasing me until I couldn't stand it.
"Does that answer your question?" I had no breath to speak back it was all gone out of my mouth, couldn't get it back.
