*Luke's POV*
I watched as Percy trained with Selena. I still haven't really gotten over the fact that he actually joined me. I thought that his fatal flaw, his loyalty, would have kept him away.
I can see that his loyalty wasn't to the Gods. Thankfully, but to us. The side that actually wants a change.
"Luke? Are you okay?" I snap out of my thoughts, and found my blue eyes connecting with sea green.
I felt my face heat up, my palms starting to sweat, and my heart race. I saw the smirk under the mask of concern on Percy's face, and I love that.
I mean like! Like, yeah! DEFINITELY not love!
"Hey. Mr. Leader, sir? You still in there?" Percy asks me.
I roll my eyes and smile. "Yes, unlike some people," I say, referring to him.
He gasps in mock hurt. "How dare you?! We're not friends!"
I raise an eyebrow. "Okay. If that's alright by you, then whatever." I shrug and start walking away.
Percy grabs my arm, and I automatically rip us away as defense.
Immediately, I regret it when I see the flash of hurt on Percy's face. I go to apologize, when Ethan comes over and starts talking about how something went wrong.
I turn my back on Percy without a second thought and rush after Ethan, not giving Percy a second glance.
*Percy's POV*
Sitting on the edge of the deck, I wonder how I got here in the first place. When Luke ripped his arm out of my grasp and left without so much as an apology or excuse, I felt my heart break.
I don't know why it hurts so much. I'm not in love with him, and I shouldn't care as much as I do. It's just a silly crush, despite what Selena said to me.
"Hey, Percy. We got to talk." I look up and see Ethan, who's giving me a look of annoyance.
"Sure. Whatever," I mumble, using my remaining powers to summon some sea water up to my face.
I play around with it, shaping it into a swirl and making it move. Ever since I've been here, I've been using my powers in ways I bought were impossible. Now, I can use them without any effort and energy.
"ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME?!" I snap out of my thoughts, dropping my water swirl, and look at Ethan. He's glaring at me now, and I'm feeling the full blunt force of the heat of it.
"Umm...sorry," I mutter, looking away from his deathly gaze and focus on the water.
"This is what I was saying! You AND Luke aren't paying any attention because you two are so blind!" He yells at me, waving his arms.
I give him a dumbfounded look, and he grips his hair and screams. I jump at the shrill sound, almost falling off of the boat.
I manage to steady myself, when Selena pops out of nowhere and starts calming down.
"It's alright Ethan. They'll figure it out soon, no matter how aggravating it is," she says. A bit of bite appears in the last few words of her statement.
I stare at her confused, when someone calls me name. I glance over, and then do a double take when I see who it is.
It's Luke. Shirtless, sweaty, and amazingly hot Luke. Gods, I sound like such a girl! But, I can't deny it.
"Perce!" Finger snap in front of my face as I try to stop staring at Luke's abs. Lucky for me, I wasn't drooling, so that's a plus.
"SERIOUSLY!! HOW THE HADES ARE YOU TWO SO BLIND THAT YOU DO NOT REALIZE YOU ARE BOTH IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER?!" Ethan screeches, stomping away.
Selena rushes after him, shouting about ruining a perfect discovery. But, I don't pay her any attention as I try to divert my attention from Luke.
I feel my face heating up as my heart goes a million miles a minute. I risk a glance at Luke, who's just as red as I am from the tips of his ears to the bottom of his neck.
I bite my lip as I try to walk away from him, only to be caught by the arm and spun around. I look up and lock eyes with Luke.
"So, that just happened," he says.
I laugh nervously while I fidget in his hold, trying to worm my way out of his grip. But, Luke seems to hold my arm tighter when he notices I'm trying to leave.
"Can we......talk.....umm.....about.....this?" He forcefully tries to say the words.
"I don't really want to talk about it," I whisper, trying to gather my thoughts.
I notice the devastated look on his face, and Luke lets go of my arm. He turns to walk off, but stops short and turns his head to the side.
"By the way, I'm sorry for earlier. I didn't mean to," he says, walking off.
Leaving me alone with my thoughts, I sit back down on the deck, finally noticing that I stood up.
I felt tears prick my eyes as I tried to get my thoughts in order, but couldn't think straight.
"He can't love me. It's just a silly crush, right?" I whisper to myself.
A tear falls down my face and drops into the water, creating a small ripple, causing a huge chain effect.
'Maybe, I should just take a break for a bit. Avoid Luke for a bit, just until I get my thoughts in order,' I think, standing once again and walking away from the sea.

A/N: Sorry for the missed updates. Last weekend was my cousins birthday party and she had a sleepover and wanted me to go. So, I couldn't really use my phone unless I wanted nosey children reading my shoulder. And the weekend before, I got the stomach flu and felt like I was dying. So yeah. Shitty excuses, but it's the truth. So yeah. I'll update again on Saturday for sure.
