Beep Beep Beep

Skie sat up and rubbed her eyes.

Hannah rolled over and groaned. "Too early. Shut that off, Skie."

Skie smirked. "Hannah, it's already 6. You said you wanted a shower."

Hannah responded by flopping back onto her pillow. "You go first." Skie heard her mutter.

Skie was rather awake, partially because she's a morning person and partially because of the adrenaline of the first day, so she did get into the shower. By the time she was done, Hannah was at least upright, and ready to get ready.

Skie dried and brushed through her blonde hair, put on a little powder because why not, it's the first day, and got into her uniform. By then it was around 6:45 and breakfast started at 7:15. Skie decided to walk around for a few minutes and see who else was up and about.

As she opened the door, Skie saw a tall hispanic girl walking down the hall towards her.

"Hi, do you know if this is Danielle Dykstra's room?" The girl asked, pointing at the door next to Skie's room.

"Yeah, it is. Are you...Isabelle?" Skie asked hesitantly.

"Isabella, you can call me Izzy." The girl smiled.

Skie smiled back. "Hi Izzy, I'm Skylar, you can call me Skie. I'm right next door to you."

Izzy grinned. "Cool! Who are you with?"

"Hannah."

"Oh, she's nice. That's awesome. Is this your first year, Skie."

"Yeah."

"First day, wow. Good luck!"

"Thanks." Skie smiled although Izzy's energy was making her tired. She wasn't that much of a morning person.

"Better go put my stuff away. See you!"

"You too." Skie said as Izzy disappeared into the room. She decided she'd better see if Hannah was almost ready and returned to her room. Hannah was tying her tie, her hair still in a towel.

"Hey, I wondered where you went, but I heard talking in the hall so I thought it might be you."

"Yeah, sorry. Izzy is here though."

Hannah smiled. "Good, you've met." She pulled the towel off head and started brushing through her long hair. "I'll be done in a few minutes, so we can head to breakfast then."

"Ok." Skie smiled and went to go make her bed because she didn't have anything better to do.

Hannah finished getting ready and the two girls left their room to go to breakfast at the same time as Danielle and Izzy.

"Morning girls." Danielle smiled. "Skie, Izzy said she met you?"

Skie smiled. "Yep."

"You guys excited for this year?" Izzy asked.

Hannah smiled. "I am, for sure. Upper firsts, girls! Basically middle school!"

Danielle grinned. "Little fish in the big pond."

Skie smiled as they arrived at the cafeteria. She had a good feeling about this year, too.

An hour and quite a few pancakes later, the girls followed the mass of students into the auditorium for the opening assembly.

Izzy yawned. "The assembly is so boring."

Hannah shrugged. "At least we get to find out head girl and head boy?"

Danielle shook her head. "I'm with Izzy on this one, Han. We already know who they're gonna be. Even Skie knows who they're gonna be."

Skie nodded. "It was in the letter."

Hannah rolled her eyes at the three of them. "Pessimists. I'm trying to find something good in this situation.

Danielle smirked. "I defy even you to find something good about an hour long assembly."

Hannah sighed. "Fair enough. Let's get this over with."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"So what did you think, Skie?" Izzy asked as the student body walked out, stretching and grumbling.
"You were right. Very, very boring."
"Hey, at least we have classes now." Hannah said, somehow still cheerful.
Danielle smiled. "The first day of classes is always fun, before we get down to hard work. What do you all have? I have choir."
"So do I. Of course." Izzy smiled back.
"I have orchestra." said Hannah.
"So do I! What do you play?" Skie asked curiously.
"Violin."
"Same!"
The two girls high-fived. Danielle smiled, then groaned.
"Great, I forgot Maddison is in choir, too."
Izzy sighed. "She's not so horrible."
Danielle shrugged. "I guess. See you two later."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Mr. Stetson is so nice." Skie grinned at Hannah.

Hannah grinned back. "Yeah, he's one of the best teachers here. And our music should be really fun this year!"

Danielle jogged up to them. "Hey girls, how was orchestra?"

Hannah grinned. "Great. Choir?"

Danielle sighed. "It was alright. Izzy went off with Madi and some other girls to history. I have math next."

Skie checked her schedule. "Same here."

Hannah grinned. "Same. Let's go. Ms. Fay is pretty nice, but strict."

The three girls quickly walked down the hall.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hey guys!"
Hannah, Skie, and Danielle all looked up to see Izzy running towards them.
"Ready to go to lunch?" The girl asked, then frowned. "Skie, are you ok?"
Skie shrugged. "Yeah, I guess."
Izzy looked at Hannah and Danielle. "What happened?"
Hannah looked concerned. "Well, third hour we had history, which was fine, but we just got out of science, and it was pretty strange."
Izzy looked confused. "Strange? I had it third, and Mrs. Daniels seemed pretty normal to me."
Danielle shrugged. "She seemed normal to me too, but she treated Skie really weird."
Skie shook her head. "It's probably nothing. Maybe it's something Raven did. I'll ask her later. Let's just go to lunch."
Hannah looked at her closely, then sighed. "Ok, lets go."
As Skie followed her friends to the cafeteria, she tried to push down the guilt of telling yet another lie.
AN: Next up, the rest of the day! I'm not going to go through every day of school because that would be extremely boring but I am going to try to cover most of this day.
