The Tuesday following the fight, Skie walked down to the door of the discipline room and knocked. She and Hazel had agreed that this was the easiest and probably most comfortable place to meet.
"Come in."
Skie opened the door as Hazel got up from the couch to greet her. "Hello there."
"Why hello, young one. Enter into my abode." Hazel said in a strange British accent.
Skie cracked up. "What?"
Hazel grinned. "You probably hate hearing this but you and Raven are way too alike. I'm just feeling kinda random. How are you?"
Skie stopped laughing though a smile was still on her lips. "I'm alright. Madi is annoying, though."
Hazel rolled her eyes. "If she wasn't, that would be a miracle. Anything in particular that she is doing?"
The younger girl shrugged. "She's still mad about last week."
"I see. That was her fault, not that I'd recommend reminding her of that, but if her attitude continues, let me know and I will."
Skie nodded.
"Do you like tea? I can make some."
"I love tea."
Hazel smiled. "Girl after my own heart. Mint, earl gray, ginger?"
"Mint, preferably."
"You have chosen correctly, my child." Hazel responded in the same strange accent.
Skie shook her head. "Does this happen often?"
Hazel smirked. "I don't know how Raven puts up with it."
Skie laughed as Hazel pulled out tea things.
"Why do you keep tea things in here?"
Hazel shrugged as she plugged in the electric kettle. "It's a convenient place for them, and sometimes people like tea after, uh, things."
Skie nodded in understanding, her mind going back to what Hazel had said last week.
"Hazel?"
"Hmm?"
"What did you mean when you said that we were similar."
"I meant exactly what I said."
Skie rolled her eyes. "Not helpful."
Hazel half smiled. "I think you'll see similarities in time. Or, lets try this. You tell me something I don't know about you, and I'll tell you something you don't know about me."
Skie looked nervous. "What kinds of things?"
Hazel shrugged. "That's up to you. We don't have to go very deep right now."
Skie sighed and thought. "Ok....hmm...my favorite color is blue."
Hazel nodded. "Mine's violet."
"Uh, my favorite class right now is acting, besides Madi."
"Mrs. Wheaton is the best, isn't she? Back when I had her, she taught lower 7th english, math, and geography as well as doing a play."
Skie grinned. "She's super nice."
"She is. As for my favorite class, it's english."
Skie shrugged. "English is alright. I like spelling."
"Spelling is what I can't do. What is your least favorite class?"
"Science."
Hazel raised an eyebrow. "Subject or teacher?"
Skie squirmed. "Uh, teacher."
Hazel nodded. "Daniels is interesting. Don't worry about her, she can get strange prejudices sometimes."
The blonde nodded. "What is your least favorite?"
"Ugh, math. Algebra is killing me. You're lucky to be only an upper first."
At that point, the kettle whistled, and Hazel went to pour the tea.

Skie skipped out of the discipline room an hour later, smiling.
Hazel is super nice, I can see why Raven likes her. I hope we'll be good friends.
Two girls turned into the hallway. Skie recognized them as Hazel's friends.
"Hey, Skie, right?" The slightly taller blonde girl asked.
"Uh, that's me."
The brunette with the beautiful green eyes smiled. "Hi again. We very quickly introduced ourselves last time, but I'm Lilian, you can call me Lil, and this is Daisy."
"The cooler one."
"The crazier one."
Daisy smiled. "You got me there, Lil. Anyway, Skie, how are you liking the academy?"
Skie smiled. "It's pretty nice."
Daisy furrowed her brow. "Wait, are you in 7th hour acting?"
Skie nodded.
Daisy grinned. "I hope you try out for the school play! Auditions are in two weeks."
Skie smiled. "I'll think about it."
Lilian rolled her eyes. "Converting everyone to theatre nerds, Daisy?"
Daisy faked a glare. "There is nothing wrong with that. And Hazel does it too."
Lilian laughed. "I know, I know. Speaking of, Skie, have you seen Hazel."
"You called?" Hazel stepped out of the door.
"Ah, good. We'd better run, but see you later!" Lilian addressed Skie before turning to walk to Hazel. Daisy hung back, then leaned conspiratorially towards Skie.
"Two weeks. Don't forget."
Skie just grinned.
