The Sitting Room

10:30am

Jack was sitting watching the TV in his pyjamas when there was a knock at the front door. Chuck and Hugh had already left so Jack slowly pulled himself up. He grabbed his crutches and made his way to the door.

As he opened it he got the fright of his life. “J….Jackie.”

“Hi Jack.”

She suddenly wrapped her arms round him and rested her head on his chest.

“What are you doing here?” Jack asked placing his hands on her back.

“A little bird told me you weren’t doing too well.”

“Who?”

“A magician never reveals her secrets.” Jackie teased as she walked in.

Jack grinned. “I’ve missed you.”

“I’ve missed you too.”

She stood on her tiptoes and kissed him passionately. When she pulled back she ruffled his hair. “Why are you still in your pyjamas?”

“I….I don’t know.”

“Come on let me help you.”

Once they were upstairs Jackie helped him into the bath. “How is your back?” She asked as she rubbed a hot sponge on it.

“It’s getting better, whatever Dr Travell gave me earlier really has helped and the exercises are the best things ever.”

“Good.”

“You didn’t have to come home early.” Jack said.

“I did, what kind of wife would I be if I left you suffering like this?”

Jack smiled and rested his head against her hand. “I love you.”

“I love you too bunny.”

The Garden

Hugh and Chuck still weren’t back. Jack and Jackie were sitting out on the patio with a drink, they seemed happy and relaxed.

“Do you know something Jack?”

“What Kid?”

“Ever since we made up in London I couldn’t stop thinking about you.” Jackie blushed.

“It was fun.” Jack grinned.

“I can’t wait to do it again.”

“Well let’s go.” Jack said getting to his feet.

Jackie looked shocked. “Jack your back?”

“It helped it last time.”

Jackie laughed and followed. “Well anything to help.”

The Kitchen

Jack walked into the kitchen with one crutch. He was smiling broadly. Jackie was giggling childishly as she held his free hand. He only had his boxers and a t-shirt on. Jackie was wearing one of his shirts which went down to her knees.

Chuck and Hugh felt slightly awkward as the First Couple sat down. They were giggling and flirting. “You…um had a good night last night?” Chuck asked.

“Yeah…amazing.” Jackie smiled.

“At one point I heard your bed squeaking…..” Chuck said timidly.

Jackie blushed but Jack just smiled as he placed his hand on her knee. He was beginning to feel better. Whatever Janet had been giving his back was certainly working.
