Ponyboy Imagine
(sorry for any mistakes)
Pony boy…Pony boy…Pony boy Curtis, the guy I have been in love with since, well birth (our mothers and fathers were best friends since high school, until his parents tragically died.) Everyone in the gang caught on to my secret well except pony…of course. Anyways tonight pony asked me to go to the drive in movies with him (he usually takes me there every Tuesdays and Fridays.) I obviously said yes because who could say no to pony’s big brown puppy dog eyes and pink plump pouty lips. Once I got home from school I waved bye to pony and thanked him for the company, then I went inside to get changed. After picking a very simple outfit that consisted of my light-washed distressed jeans, a cropped black shirt, and my warn out white converse. Ponyboy has always like my simple style; he says it’s refreshing, I don’t know. Anyways, after I changed, I folded my red bandana then wrapped it around my head like a headband. Then I took some grease (I am nothing without my grease) and ran it through my hair quickly (pony was gonna be here soon.) After quickly looking in the mirror I ran down the steep steps and down the hallway until I ran into my mom.
“Hmmm… you’re going with pony, aren’t you?” She said with a slick smile.
I blushed, “ Yes mom,” she knew how much I liked him.
“Well he’s waiting, have fun, and I love you, and oh don’t mess it up!”
“I love you too, and thanks for believing in me,” I said, the last part evident with sarcasm. All she did was laugh and wave goodbye. After rolling my eyes I walked to the patio, where I found pony in a male version of my outfit, looking very hot, no beautiful, I might add. Once we looked each other over once more we laughed.
“What a very nice choice of clothing you made,” pony boy said with a smile on his face.
“ Why thank ya, you don’t look too bad yourself,” I replied slightly smiling, then he pulled me into a bear hug.
“Hmm. you smell like…vanilla?” He whispered softly.
“Oh, yeah its vanilla, my mom rubs it behind my ears when she remembers,” I stated grinning ear to ear. When he pulled away, he wrapped his arm around my shoulder and started guiding me to the movies. On the way there we made small talk, we laughed, we stayed in silence, no matter what we did it felt so right… so comfortable. These are the moment I fall in love with him all over again, he makes this whole friend thing so much harder! Darn you ponyboy!!
“Two tickets please,” a familiar voice said.
“That will be two dollars please,” the ticket man said. And before I could find my dollar pony was handing the man two dollars.
“You didn’t have to do that,” I said.
