Seungcheol's Point of View
Jeonghan hurriedly ran to the comfort room after I took back what I said. He doesn't look offended nor does his face painted a displeasing reaction. I never meant to say it was just a joke. I was fucking jealous. But, I can't just blurt that out without him knowing how I really feel. That would be awkward.
We've been here for almost less than three hours. Waiters kept an eye on us, expecting to see a revelation. Evident with my looks and gaze towards my best friend is enough proof on how much he captivated me. I was never the guy who gets attracted to people in an instant. But, the moment Jeonghan reached out his hand to me during our freshman year when I was alone in the cafeteria, he melted my stone cold image. In all earnest, I planned to be the silent guy with a displeasing personality to get along with. I was tired with all the high school drama I wasn't able to endure in the past.
Yoon Jeonghan changed me though. He saw past through me in the blink of an eye and offered his company to me, a nobody.
Ever since, I saw him as a friend I'll always be proud of having, someone I can call mine. It was just a thought to myself not until many have noticed how we always clung to one another. We don't have similar schedules but we make time for each other no matter what happens.
I noticed the door of the comfort room opening along with him wiping his face off with a pile of tissues. He walked to our table and grabbed his seaweed green hand bag. He crumpled the tissues and placed it on the table. He was painting a smile while he checks his bag one last time.
"You're quite in a hurry? Got some good news while spending some time alone in the men's cubicle?". I asked him.
"That's a secret." He winked and I can't help but think about what kind of secret it is. "Oh, come on. Just spill it already, will you?", I looked at him with apologetic eyes. I'm trying to squeeze a part of him that will definitely show signs of him getting offended of the joke.
Although, technically I was really jealous.
"Cheol-ah, let's get going. We still have like three subjects for the afternoon. Joshua's kind of waiting for me."
"Oh. Okay, then. Let me fix my things first." I was dumbfounded with the name he mentioned. Wait, who won't right? I practically covered up my confession instead of going with the flow. I stood up and checked the insides of my jet black body bag hanging on the ear of the chair. A few black pens, yellow pad and a little bottle of my blue local perfume, that's all there is to see.
After checking out if I missed anything, I looked at Jeonghan and caught him staring at me. Our eyes met. I blinked twice and asked him if there is something on my face. "Yes. There is something on your face, Choi Seungcheol."
He took four steps forward from where he is standing. And true enough, he is now a palm away from me. Using both of his hands, he held my face firmly, forcing it to only look at his angelic face no one can resist. Is he about to kiss me? Is he about to do something? I don't know!
'Shit! Shit! Shit!' I mentally cursed and unconsciously closed my eyes. I kept it shut for almost ten seconds when I heard my best friend giggle. I opened my left eye and left a puzzled expression. While still being held by his soft and milky white hands, he looked at me still with his calm front. "This is something wrong." He pushed my cheeks a little forming a smile. "Smile more, Cheol. It looks better on you."
He quickly turned his back against me and hurriedly left the cafe. I stared into space while smiling like a total idiot. From my position, I can see him catching his breath after he stopped running away. He kept on looking at his wristwatch while composing himself from what he did earlier. He looked frustrated yet satisfied. I was not though. I was more than satisfied and happiness isn't even enough to describe what I feel.
I'm slowly falling for him.
