you took my hand
met your gaze with mine
and melted my heart within
seconds
my head span
but i stood still
your smile balancing me on my
feet
I was at a loss for words
unable to describe
this new feeling of
ecstasy
then suddenly
you began to slip from
my fingertips
your smile
fading
a sort of realization
crawling back to a corner of my mind
that was unravelling itself
from my desires until finally
I open my eyes
and realize
It was just a dream.
